Cuando vi este concurso no pude evitar querer participar, ir al iCloud o la computadora, hasta el álbum físico de mamá y escoger esas fotos que marcan un momento único no fue sencillo, porque existen muchas, pero las primeras en sobresalir fueron las seleccionadas; esta competición es bastante hermosa, pasé horas viendo las fotos antes de sentarme a realizar el post, pero fue un momento mágico por el que tengo que agradecer a @enginewitty

When I saw this contest I couldn't help but want to participate, going to the iCloud or the computer, even mom's physical album and choosing those photos that mark a unique moment was not easy, because there are many, but the first ones to stand out were the ones selected; this competition is quite beautiful, I spent hours looking at the photos before sitting down to make the post, but it was a magical moment for which I have to thank @enginewitty

Mi carril de la memoria

My memory lane

Esta primera foto es súper emotiva para mí, desde pequeña mi segundo hogar ha sido una cancha de baloncesto, mi padre, jugador activo a sus 42 años, siempre me llevaba consigo a los torneos, ahora lo llevo yo ja, ja. Pero este equipo que sobresale en la foto, fueron mi orgullo por mucho años, eran el equipo representante de la empresa donde trabaja mi padre, invertí mucho tiempo en ellos, los ayudaba a entrenar, me encargaba de limpiar y ordenar el gimnasio después de cada entrenamiento, salía corriendo de clases para tenerles todo listo antes de la gran odisea de hacer los ejercicios, los amaba y me encantaba ayudarlos. La foto fue tomada en el 2016, fue el primer torneo que ganamos, eran unos interindustriales, y lloré de la emoción, todo el esfuerzo había dado sus frutos.

But this team that stands out in the photo, they were my pride for many years, they were the representative team of the company where my father works, I invested a lot of time in them, I helped them train, I was in charge of cleaning and tidying the gym after each training, I ran out of class to have everything ready before the great odyssey of doing the exercises, I loved them and I loved helping them. The photo was taken in 2016, it was the first tournament we won, they were inter-industrial, and I cried with emotion, all the effort had paid off.

Siguiendo con el mismo sentir hacia el baloncesto, y mi equipo, este día fue memorable porque recién cumplía los 18, la mayoría a esa edad quiere celebrar con sus amigos, pero yo solo pensé en compartir mi día con el equipo, porque había entrenamiento, y la verdad para mí eso era más importante que mi cumpleaños, ja, ja. Recuerdo haberme levantado temprano para hacer el pastel (torta, como decimos en Venezuela), pensando que al equipo de seguro los motivaría un buen trozo de pastel. Esa tarde canté cumpleaños junto a todos, y la verdad es el cumpleaños más memorable que he tenido, eran mi familia, que lástima que hayamos perdido el contacto porque la gran mayoría se mudó del país por nuestra misma situación económica.

That afternoon I sang birthday together with everyone, and the truth is the most memorable birthday I have ever had, they were my family, too bad we lost contact because most of them moved out of the country due to our economic situation.

La fotografía que presento es de mi mejor amigo, el más fiel y ser especial que conozco. Esta foto es de por allá por el 2015, aquí recién nos conocíamos, es la primera fotografía que tengo de él, eramos unos chiquillos comenzando la universidad, como estudiantes de comunicación social nos habían asignado una tarea periodística y debíamos tomar fotos, recuerdo que fue la única captura que pude tomar ese día porque se me olvidó el cargador y los demás cargadores no le servían a mi cámara. Después de analizarlo, pienso que esa imagen marca el comienzo de nuestra amistad.

The photograph I present here is of my best friend, the most faithful and special being I know. This photo is from back in 2015, here we just met, it is the first picture I have of him, we were kids starting college, as students of social communication we had been assigned a journalistic task and we had to take pictures, I remember it was the only picture I could take that day because I forgot the charger and the other chargers did not serve my camera. After analyzing it, I think that image marks the beginning of our friendship.

La cuarta fotografía es especial para mí, ellos son mis padres y ese fue nuestro último viaje a la playa en familia, hace dos años. La playa es Ocumare de la costa, en el estado Aragua, Venezuela. Fue una ocasión muy especial, ya que no vivo con ellos desde que tengo 18, y ahora que tengo 22 veo que nos hemos perdido de muchas oportunidades para compartir. Aquella vez disfrutamos al máximo de un fin de semana repleto de arena hasta el trasero, bastante sol, agua salada hasta irritar los ojos y comida costera, como deseo repetir todo aquello, meses después vino el covid y ahora solo tengo recuerdos de las paredes de mi cuarto.

The fourth picture is special for me, they are my parents and that was our last trip to the beach as a family, two years ago. The beach is Ocumare de la costa, in Aragua state, Venezuela. It was a very special occasion, since I have not lived with them since I was 18, and now that I am 22 I see that we have missed many opportunities to share. That time we enjoyed a weekend full of sand up to the butt, plenty of sun, salty water to irritate the eyes and coastal food, as I want to repeat all that, months later came the covid and now I only have memories of the walls of my room.

Mi última fotografía es de mi mascota Nero, el dueño de la casa y mi compañero. Tiene exactamente un año y 3 meses esta fotografía, porque fue cuando Nero llegó a mi vida. Ahora está tan grande que a veces dudo que sea el mismo, con sus ojos azules, pero más tranquilo, es quién me hace lugar en su corazón y se acuesta en mis pies en busca de calor. Te amo Nero.

My last photograph is of my pet Nero, the owner of the house and my companion. This picture is exactly one year and 3 months old, because that's when Nero came into my life. Now he is so big that sometimes I doubt he is the same, with his blue eyes, but calmer, he is the one who makes room for me in his heart and lies on my feet looking for warmth. I love you Nero.
