Hello dear Hivers!

Today I share with you a group of portraits I created with the help of my partner @enderlouis , depicting a pagan spiritualist, or more specifically, what is known as a "Shaman".

Hoy les traigo una serie de retratos que creé con la ayuda de mi pareja @enderlouis , representando a una espiritista pagana, o más específicamente, lo que se conoce como "Chamán".

Both the quill and the skull we used for the photographs are real. We assume that the skull was from a dog or some other quadrupedal creature.

At the end of the post I share with you a couple of photos of what the skull looked like when we first found it, and also a brief background on the makeup.

Tanto la pluma como el cráneo que utilizamos para las fotografías son reales. Suponemos que el cráneo era de un perro o alguna criatura cuadrúpeda.

Al final del post les dejo un par de fotos de cómo era el cráneo cuando recién lo encontramos, y también una breve reseña sobre el maquillaje.

THE SKULL

El cráneo

One day while walking through La Llovizna National Park (Bolivar State, Venezuela) we came across this rare skull, which at first had almost all its teeth!

Un día que paseábamos por el Parque Nacional La Llovizna (Estado Bolívar, Venezuela) nos encontramos este raro cráneo. ¡En un principio tenía casi todos sus dientes!

My partner and I have always been fascinated by anything related to paganism, magic and death, so we didn't hesitate to pick it up off the floor, clean it up a bit and take it home.

A mi pareja y a mí siempre nos ha fascinado todo lo relacionado con el paganismo, la magia y la muerte, por lo que no dudamos en recogerlo del suelo, lo limpiamos un poco y nos lo llevamos a casa.

Since then it has been adorning my partner's desk and has served as a prop in several photo shoots and art projects.

Desde entonces ha estado de adorno en el escritorio de mi pareja y nos ha servido de utilería en varias sesiones de fotos y proyectos artísticos.

THE MAKEUP

El Maquillaje

To decide on the makeup for this character I wandered around Pinterest for a while and ended up being inspired by this one:

Para decidir el maquillaje de este personaje me paseé un rato por Pinterest y me terminé inspirando en éste:

Some time later I ended up finding out that her name is Etain, and she is the villain of the movie Centurion.

Tiempo después me terminé enterando que su nombre es Etain, y se trata de la villana de la película Centurion.

To achieve the makeup I used:

• talcum powder (to make the skin pale)
• blue cold paint (for the blue lines)
• white cold paint (for the white lines on the nose),
• white eyeshadow, purple eyeshadow, black eyeshadow and black cream eyeliner (to make up the eyes)
• red wine lipstick and black lipstick.

Para lograr el maquillaje utilicé:

* talco (para poner la piel pálida)
* pintura fría azul (Para las líneas azules)
* pintura fría blanca (para las líneas blancas sobre la nariz)
* sombra blabca, sombra morada, sombra negra y delineador en crema negro (para maquillar los ojos)
* pintura de labios vinotinto y pintura de labios negra.
