Contents of Hall 2-Franschhoek Motor Museum.

So amazing, each hall contains 20 cars and today is our 20th Anniversary.

Yesterday's post showed you the contents of hall 1. Now here we had the contents of hall 2.

Beautiful memories to look back on and can you believe that some of these cars are still on our roads? Most of them in perfect condition and some of them with their original owners. The cars in this hall are also in pristine condition and it was so great to see the changes in the design of the cars over the years. When I do the fourth hall, I will post a printed list of the contents of each hall so that you can see some that I have not posted, as I cannot make the posts too long. I could have split the posts with fewer photos to avoid being accused of photo dumping, but I believe in posting quality and full story posts.
So come and see.

A note to my wife; Our anniversary!
The poor people and the children call you an Angel and you certainly deserve that title. Thank you for standing by my side for 20 years now and please know that you are appreciated and loved. We don't know what the future holds in store for us, but as long as we are together all is and will be well.

I will allow the photos of the cars, again, to tell you their own stories.

This is the first time for me to see a "Mustang" truck, but it was called a Ford Mustero.

And there you have it, up to 1938 and the next hall will have from 1938 to 1960. It was a tremendous experience, especially to see how the cars have changed over the years. Most of the modern cars today, will never last as long as these old-timers did. I doubt that we will see an original Lamborghini on the roads in 80 - 100 years' time.
Nowadays, mostly plastic is used and in the old times plastic was an unknown feature on cars. Just shows the quality that the old original tradesmen used.

I hope that you enjoyed the stories and the pictures.

The front parts of the old cars were very long because the engine was large. I noticed this when looking at the pictures

Most of the old engines were V8s or straight 6s and yes, they took up a lot of space. Especially in the late 50s and 60s as we used to joke that the cars looked like ships on the roads.

The cars with wooden hoods are truly unique beauties.

Thank you and we also loved to see how they matched the wood and the metal. Real craftsmanship!

Yes, I most certainly enjoyed the cars and the stories. It's amazing how those cars stood the test of time.

And I must appreciate your wife for standing by you and the children. You both are amazing. 😍

Thank you and I said the other day that most of the cars that they make today would never last that long.

We only try to do our best for them and thank you for the compliment!

Yes, I read that part too.

You guys are the best. May the Almighty bless you for everything. 💞

Thank you and also for the nice complement.
Blessings for you and yours too!

I felt like 1920s America while looking at vintage cars.

Thank you and we were also lost in time over there.

Who would have thought that Ford's first cars were also used in the evening.

You have a sharp eye and yes many of the cars were on the roads at night.

Beautiful Cars!

WOW Love the Chevy 🥰😊
What a great cars. And so cool to see the advertisements on them. And even some wood.
Thanks for sharing these amazing cars Zac 👋🏻😊😎

Chevrolet are lovely cars and there are so many great cars at that show that it is head spinning stuff.
All in original condition, and the wood on some cars is also magic.
My pleasure to share 😊

They are… one day I get an American classic car and will fix it up over some years in a garage next to a house I don’t have yet hehehe 🤭

Lovely to see… all of them. Thanks Zac 👋🏻😊

Hahaha, I have also dreamt of doing that, but that sadly has always just remained to be a dream. No time, and the spares cost a fortune. Nothing prevents you from putting your car together in your mind though 😉

Glad that you liked them.

Hehehe I have done that actually with my 4 classic minis. But they are small and parts are cheap.
One day a muscle car will be there… I hold on to that dream.

For now it will remain a dream. Maybe one day 🍀🍀🍀🍀
You are welcome.
Happy day 👋🏻☀️🌺

Well then, at least you had some training how to do it and when the big one comes, you will be ready for it 😊

Yep! I say the same, "maybe one day" 😊

Oh I will be ready for that 😉😎🤓 can’t wait hehehe 🤭
Watch this space 😁

Good, let’s keep the positivity!
Good evening Zac 👋🏻
