Strong winds boiling clouds on hot mountains.

When something boils it tends to rise and it is similar in nature.

Look! The clouds swallowed the mountains. This is the first corner that we drive into from our house, and normally there is a lovely and clear sight of the mountains.

But not today, as we had a very strong wind blowing from the East, from behind the mountains. An opposing strong wind coming in from the West over the Atlantic Ocean side, blocked the clouds on the mountain range.
Our intention was to drive to the local Rape Crisis Center, but I dropped all to go and get a clearer look at the mountains. They are only 6 kilometers away from our house.

I also mention a near accident in here from photo number 7.
So, come and look.

That tower cloud in the center rose straight up as soon as it touched the mountain base.

See why I call them boiling clouds?

All steam here below.

And here's that tower cloud breaking through now into the sky.

Right, let's pop in for a quick cup of coffee.

But hey, watch this. The wind snapped a branch off and it almost landed on a parked car.

See that old dry tree? Car suicide to park under it when a wind is blowing in gusts of up to 50 kph. So we found the owner and she rushed to get her car away from that dead tree.

As we left the coffee place, I wanted to show you how the wind combed a palm tree's hair.

And then it was back, and we could only see faint outlines of the mountains.

Finally, that dancing loose little cloud at the front waved us goodbye.

I so wish that you could hear and see this for yourselves, as all that I can tell you is that the scenes are so magnificent to watch. A scary sight to see how a gust of wind can grab one of the big and strong oak trees and the wind shaking the big branches around like rags. Leaves and debris flying around all over the place.

Oh, I almost forgot. Here is a pastel sight of an oak tree leaf flying across the moon face.

Yes, I clicked too quickly, but the wind was also jerking me around :)

We have already had some large trucks blown over by the wind on the major highways, and the strength of the wind gusts has also confused many a ship captain that ended up in a lifeboat. So when these winds start to appear, it is best to find strong shelter as it can blow one right off your feet.
But of course, I like the challenge to take photos in the wind.

I hope you have enjoyed the photos and the story.

Cape doctor back in town, blowing you all upside down!

Wisps of cloud like naughty children escaping the firm grasp of an adult to stay close, the mountains shrouded in table cloth, maybe some rain on the way today.

And today very hot, with not even a sign of the wind!

I like the way that you put this and it sounds so nice.
No rain yet and maybe on Saturday.

Thank you kindly for the tipu !LOLZ

Rain was over the sea, no touch down for us yet either!

What looked promising a couple of days ago had moved on again, nothing on the horizon for some time ahead.

Sad to hear and our dark and cool clouds have also made their way over the mountains. Not before I got some nice shots of them.

Just the thing lately on all fronts. Promises and more promises, but all empty.

Clouds with sky high humidity, much like our moods here, dark and steaming.... !LUV

I can only imagine what's going to happen on Monday. We saw an army platoon's tents going up over here and methinks that army is going to protect the farms.
!LUV

Overdue with the farmers being protected.

Another evidence that nature is really beautiful

Thank you Angela and I am happy that you liked it.

Glad to hear that

Look! The clouds swallowed the mountains

I'm perplexed how you could get those pictures perfectly in place and in good clarity too... That was impressive.

I hope you have enjoyed the photos and the story

Yes I really did enjoy those pictures, you did an amazing job.

Thank you and I have a bit of experience with these things.
