Time for some landscapes.

I love to see how the weather changes the views and will show you some changes below.

There are so many troubles in life nowadays, that the consistent power cuts make me happy, as then I can get out into nature. But I am not here to talk about the troubles, and I would much rather show you the sights that keep me balanced and sane.
Nature has the calming habit to still my racing thoughts and to clear my mind, so that I can try and think rationally.
Maybe it does the same for you.

I just had to show you this picture of the palm tree with the cloud backing.

I took this picture from our car.

These were the smaller mountains towards the north-east.

Gradually, the clouds started closing in from the east.

Here below was a hill in a sunspot, and it was time for us to return home, as the power cut was finished.

Slowly the sunspot crept up on the hill, until the clouds closed the sun's rays down again.

So yes, the weather controls the colors by using the clouds and those sunspots on the hills are also magnificent to watch, as they come and go when the sun finds some breaks in the cloud banks. But they were all just scary clouds, on their way somewhere, as we had no rain. Not that all is good, as there are floods inland that cause many damages and even hailstorms that destroy parts of the farmers fruit harvests that are in progress now.

But then again, nature is nature and I only hope that the farmers had insurance. Hailstorms here at times have hail stones as big as tennis balls and my car's windscreen was shattered once in a hailstorm.
South Africa is a water scarce country even though there are many dams that fill during the storms and this necessitates the opening of the sluice gates that flood everything downstream. Thousands of liters of rainwater then flow into the sea.
I so wish that something can be designed to capture the runoffs.
Such is life here.
