Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 20

in Photography Lovers4 years ago (edited)

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to the 20th round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)

I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.

The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.

The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)

Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.

I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:

Only one entry per person per round.

The photo must be yours and not older than one week.

Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.

You can start submitting your entries to this round from now until the next round. Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.

I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)

To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round.

I took this photo in a beautiful protected natural area known as the Radun Wetlands here in the Moravian - Silesian Region of the Czech Republic just yesterday. I know the picture is not of the best quality since I was shooting it right against the strong afternoon sun but I love the natural framing of it so I decided to use it as a starter for this round :) There are several great biking lanes around the Radun Wetlands and I often come there to enjoy some nice cycling in a beautiful environment.

In the last round, we had 7 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

I took this photo on Sunday walking along the coastline of Cape Byron Bay in N.S.W Australia the beach is calm at the moment been low tide and the breeze blowing was so refreshing form the ocean what amazes me is those trees hanging of the cliff side how strong are they buried in the cliff face year after year been hammered by the change of seasons it would be like going through a wash machine everyday and they still survive all of that.

Hello @phortun. Thank you for the upvote even though I'm not one of the winners. I'm here for an entry for this round. I was having my early morning walk three days ago when I took picture of this beautiful sunrise! 😍 This is taken at Palo, Leyte, Philippines.

Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)

I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!

My entry for Appreciate beauty of nature
The vibrant sunset from my terrace
Location: Harihar India.

My terrace has the beautiful sunset which I dont get in Bengaluru. So I stay on my terrace every day to watch the sun go down between the tall trees. Presenting the sky in purple pink was a little play with android app. Since we do not have tall buildings towards the west I get lucky every day

The photograph was captured 3 days back and original post is here : https://hive.blog/ocd/@pradeepdee6/life-does-not-come-with-instructions-on-how-to-live-but-it-does-come-with-daily-sunset

Amazing colors, thanks for your entry :)

Thank you @phortun! 😍

The beauty of the park you shared is simply amazing! I would love to take a walk there! ❤

Here is my entry for this week:

This is taken just this morning during my early morning walk. The sky was clear with a few scattered clouds, so the sunrise was golden yellow! Another beauty of nature that I would gladly like to see everyday! ❤

Taken in Palo, Leyte, Philippines.

Wow, I can see you are a big fan of sunrises :) Thanks for this beautiful entry.

Yes, I'm a huge fan of sunrise and sunset! 😉 Even if the sunset is at the back of the mountain, I can still imagine how beautiful it is! 😍

Hi @phortun!
I saw beautiful daisies on my way to work earlier in the week. When I looked through my macro lens there were red spiders. I shared similar daisies on my page. I hope you like it :)
This photo was taken in Izmir (Turkey)

Very impressive close up, your camera takes great macro shots :)

I use only my mobile phone while taking photos :) I want to buy a nice camera to take more impressive ones :)

Wow, you must have a very firm hand a lot of patience then :) I know how difficult it is to take decent close ups with just a cell phone hehe :) I also use only my cell phone.

Ahh, really difficult :) not always clear like this :)

Hi there Phortun,
I'm new here-I just signed up to Hive 2 nights ago (and only discovered it by accident a week ago. Still trying to navigate my way around it smoothly....) and I love this image! I love the natural contrast that you were able to capture.

I hope you don't mind if I share some of my snaps with you? ( I have thousands...Lol...)

Here is one I took exactly a week ago at the Melbourne Botanical Gardens late in the afternoon and I love the mirror effect, the contrast, but most of all, I loved the duck circling around me while I was there- it was so funny and made me laugh. (I took 234 photos that day on my iphone 11 pro max testing out a new app that I got called Firstlight by Filmic Pro..)
I hope that you like it too.

So nice to be among people that love capturing true, natural beauty as much as I do.
Thank you.

You are welcome :) And no worries, your entry is 100% correct and valid :)

Hey, thanks for joining the challenge but if you make a separate post for your entry (which is not needed btw), always make sure to submit the photo and the description here in the comment too please :)

Sure. Actually I made this post mistakenly instead of comment. I noticed but in late. Hope you understand @phortun

Sure, no problem ;) You will know next time.

Thanks for your kind co-operation.🙂

During yesterdays walk I come across fighting stag beetles. It was so sudden and quick that photos of their fight were of poor quality. So I present you a photo of the winner hurrying to his mate.

Tak to je pecka! Jen škoda, že není ostřejší, ale chápu, že se to seběhlo rychle :) Kde jsi ten vzácný objev učinil?

V Brně na Červeném kopci.

Hibiscus flower and the orange is a rare color. Red is the most common color. These flowers are also called as China Rose. These flowers plants are widely cultivated as ornamental plants. The loving character of the plant is it's evergreen and will flower round the year. Photo from my backyard in New Jersey and clicked today

Beautiful close up, thanks :) Hibiscus is the favorite food of Mexican iguanas, they love to feed on them (both leaves and flowers) and we loved to watch it :D

Thank you very much ☺️

Beautiful nature and pure...

Unexplored at all...

Yesterday I was on the river and I was observing many people are afraid to go barefoot on the ground so sad....
People are just can’t resisting on nature can’t absorb the energy that earth can give us...
