Birds

Birds

I haven't shared any bird photos for a while, not that I have got any new photos of them, but I dug through my archives of unedited photos and picked a few to edit and share for this post

Starting with a Cat Bird I saw in a walk in Buttonwood Park, I heard it, well a bunch of them before seeing them

they were making some interesting sounds,
Some interesting info I read about cat Bird

Gray Catbirds get their common name from their distinctive mewing call, which can sound like a cat’s meow to some ears, Not that I can say I head cat sounds when I saw them

Gray Catbirds can produce two sounds at the same time thanks to their ability to use each side of their syrinx, or vocal organ, independently. they can use one side or the other or both.

When they sing they can keep going for around 10 Minutes and mimic other birds and even mechanical sounds

The male Gray Catbird uses his loud song to proclaim his territory. He uses a softer version of the song when near the nest or when a bird intrudes on his territory. The female may sing the quiet song back to the male.

Next up we have a red Winged Blackbird, this is a male one as the females are a nondescript dark brown, I think I saw this in the Acushnet Sawmill park

You are a very talented photographer . These photos are eye catching. and i think you are a nature lover.

I do love being out in nature and thank you

I know I should know what type of duck this is, I am thinking its called a wood duck but I could well be wrong

I searched using Google Image and it confirms that it is a wood duck.

Thanks :) glad to know my memory is not failing me completely ;)

Those photos looks really great, the colors are vibrant and beautiful!

Thanks
Have a good day

Amazing collection of birds, good to see each and everyone!

Thanks :)

Thanks 🙏

There are alot to learn from the birds. February is coming the lover birds would have the centre. Hahahaha, fascinating photos of birds you got here. Thanks for sharing them with us. What more would #photographylovers do when such cute creatures take the screen. Just admire

Thanks for your visit and such a kind comment

Those are nice. Birds really are peaceful, elegant creatures. They probably think we're crazy for not having learned to take flight, but also probably are quite thankful we've never learned to take flight.

Thanks and I think your right on how birds think about us

Wood duck ✔️ Nice shots. Capturing the fine feathers on the catbird is very cool.

Thank you

Wow, those are some great shots! I've always liked red winged blackbirds. There is just a really nice contrast between the black and the small hint of color on them. We passed a hawk or an eagle the other day on the way home from work. It would have been cool to get a shot of it, but we were travelling too fast. Plus I was driving!

Thanks I do agree with you on the red winged blackbirds the reds really pop

That's mostly when I see cool birds when driving

Nice article and photo !

Thank you 😊

Charming photos, nature in its purest state @tattoodjay friend!!!! Bravo!
