Market Friday at the port
A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.
For this weeks post, Since I haven't bene out taking many well any photos recently I was struggling to think what I could share shots of that fit the Market Friday theme this week, then as I was driving to do an errand yesterday I drove by the port.
And it came to me since the New Bedford port is the biggest commercial fishing port in the United States and provides sea food to markets all around the country.
So it came to me why not do some photos taken on a walk around the port a while back.
Starting with this shot where I often park my car before heading for a walk around the port.

These shots were taken last year when we had more snow than this year as you can see by the piles of it in the car park.
I hope I am not tempting fate by saying this, but this winter we have not had much snow at all, I think the biggest fall we had was perhaps barely an inch and it melted away quickly

.Dang, all that rigging looks so confusing. It's like a maze from the vantage point you have there. Now that you have me thinking of fish I guess it is a good thing I am heading out to a lenten fry tonight with my buddy!
The depth and decency of the pictures look sublime as always 🤩
Beautiful captures of the port and the fishing boats.
Love the one with the reflections of them in the water. Stunning.
Have a wonderful Friday 👋🏻😊
What a beautiful sunrise it was, the pictures are looking amazing with the warm hue in the sky. Am sure it got really busy if that is the biggest commercial fishing port in the United States and provides sea food to markets all around the country. That's no small feat.
Thank you for sharing and do enjoy the weekend ahead :}
Beautiful photos! I like the sunrise shots. Depending on its use, halina in our language is to beckon someone or it could also mean something/someone attractive or beautiful :)
