Police and fire boats
I know some may see boats in the title and think dang here he is back by the docks, but I slightly different twist for this post, instead of showing the fishing boats I will share a few shots of the Police and fire boats

All of these shots were taken well before sunrise when it was still pretty dark, so there all taken with my camera on a tripod and the exposures between 4 and 13 seconds, and I am not sure how many boats the Police have here in New Bedford, but in that first shot you can see three of their boats.
I tried to get some shots of the full boat and then some closer in to show some of the detail

And here is another of the police boats across the other side of the piers beside a Pier oil building.
I did try and google to see how many boats they had with little success

This post serves also as my way of saying thank you to all first responders in generally, but for this post in particular to the Police and Fire Fighters, they work to protect us and often putting themselves at risk and sadly sometimes get given a hard time by the public.
I know as we all do there have been cases where Police of fire fighters have done things not becoming of someone in the service, and I am glad when they are caught, charged and convicted where it is a crime, but that said I honestly believe they do not represent most of the officers who serve, and I deeply respect what they do often under trying conditions
So in anyone reading this is a Fire Fighter or police officer I tip my hat to you and thank you for all you do to protect us

These long exposures are pretty sharp, JJ, especially the one with the reflection looks great, almost unbelievable that it's a long exposure.
Everybody knows that fire fighters are important, but most people learn that police work makes sense when it's too late, when they need them. Of course, I also hate them when they stand on the roadside with their radar guns 😂

Fire Rescue boat looks spic and span, not that the Police doesn't, I enjoy the red/white contrast with all the extras on top.
Second photograph gives true meaning to water being a flat as a mirror, excellent photography with reflection JJ.

Those boats look in real good nick, unlike here in our country! It's sad that one or two bad apples give those who are there to protect us, a bad name.

I agree with you, the police, firefighters, health workers need to be given their share of appreciation. I consider them all as corona warriors now. Your images as usual are top class so saying anything would be like showing light to the Sun.
