Wednesday Walk Fort Tabor

Wednesday Walk Fort Tabor

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

Well Winter here has not given up yet, we are having lots of windy days, and quite cool in the early morning when I like taking my walks, so it has really limited the amount of walks I have got out on, but I did get one recent walk in at Fort Tabor, one of the few days the wind wasn't blowing and it was not to dab a morning with the temp at about 44 at the time I took this walk.

Starting with a shot looking out on the pier

I would like to get out for some walks during the day to catch some of the spring blossoms and flowers, but my wife has had some health issues, firstly with her shoulder, where she can barely move it, this has been going on for a few weeks now and she has an appointment with a Specialist to get it checked out but that's still two weeks away.

then in addition for the last week she has had back pain, possibly due to her shoulder hurting she has bene getting up in a different way and injured her back, well thats my guess and i am not a doctor so I could be totally wrong, but she can lay down and walk without it being triggered to much, but she can only sit for a minute or two before she starts getting pain, so when she is up during the day I want to be home ot help here and hence no daytime walks.

Were thinking the same specialist she is seeing about her shoulder may be able to help with her back, so lets hope that is the case, and she is feeling better soon.
But back to my walk, here i am walking on the path around the edge of the park, with an old gun emplacement

and looking back towards the pier

My walk took me around the edge of the park, and tnd around the fort, and on this path which heads back to the pier

Weekly giveaway of shares

This week I am sending to the following who joined Wednesday Walk, for this week I did a random draw and the following each received some Hive @obsesija, @lion-bull, @cmplxty, @borjan, @decemtropia and @netizen01

And @elizacheng will send to @positivesteem

As @elizacheng and I collaborated with our Wednesday Walk and Make me Smile Challenges

And one person is randomly drawn who joins both challenges to receive one Hive from me and this week it is @TBA

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

Make me Smile Collaboration

As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,

Here are the rules for her challenge

Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem, drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT
c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

I always love the pier with the lights. I like the first one with the deep blues today 🙂 Hope your wife is having a good day today. Good that you are able to be there for her 👍

I do love that pier in the morning blue I probably love it too much and take far to many photos of it LOL

My wife is still sleeping lets hope its a better day for her today

Thank you so much for the giveaway. It is greatly appreciated.

Most welcome

Have a great day and weekend

Lovely photos man! I want to kick this weather in the ass and out the door lol it’s not an enjoyable April that’s for sure!
Hope your wife will feel better with the specialist! It sounds like a tweak of her back with those shoulder issues for sure. Since it’s legal in Mass now, you might consider getting some cannabis cream for those aches. I have a small jar I got from one of the CBD stores and it does have THC in it, the stuff that gets you high but it doesn’t make you high like smoking it does at all, it takes the pain away incredibly! I use it on my wrist when that’s feeling shitty and it works amazing. It only helps with the wrist and I don’t get stoned like if I would smoke it lol. Food for thought!

Thanks and yes winter just wont let go just yet

a good idea with the cannabis cream we did have some before but it ran out a good time to pick up some more

Have a great day and weekend

I hear you on the cold weather. I went to bed last night and it was snowing again. This morning. Still snowing! Luckily nothing is sticking, but still, it is almost May! Very nice shots! I'd have to agree with you on your diagnosis. We often over compensate when we have injuries and end up injuring other areas because of it. I hope the specialist gets everything sorted out for her.

That definitely does look like an old fort! I do love them. I think they're pretty neat.

Hope the specialist can help out your wife before too long. Shoulder pain is bad enough, but back pain is almost debillitating. Good luck!

Yesterday her back was a little better so that was a good sign, but we had the grandkids so she was up and about a lot so lets see how it is this morning

Such a cool looking fort and walking lanes @tattoodjay 😎
The pier and walking along the water looks so peaceful.
Hope your wife will feel better soon 🤞🏻And the specialist can help.

Thanks it is a park I enjoy visiting
My wife sees the Dr next week let’s hope he can help

You are welcome @tattoodjay
I would wander around there a lot too 😉
Not to long away anymore now. 🤞🏻

Have a wonderful day!

Not nice to hear Lulu is going through pain with shoulder and back after all she has been through, wish her well and hope the specialist in attendance is able to assist when you get to see him. Specialists here one also waits a couple of weeks for appointments.

First photograph giving a feel of walking into eternity most definitely the showcase photography for today!

Take care and thanks for sharing.

Thanks
I twisted my knee yesterday and then while trying to favor it I twinged my back so we are a right pair today
But I know I will be right as rain if I take it easy for a day or so

Yes let’s hope next week the doctor can help Lulu poor thing has been through so much

Both of you rest up, summer is coming when you want to enjoy the outdoors hopefully both mended enough to go explore!

I have taken it easy for a couple of days and feeling less achy
Let’s hope the Dr can get Lulu feeling better so we can both enjoy summer

Best to rest or it takes a lot longer to get back out walking again. Hope Doc finds the problem and is able to rectify soon. Take care!

Yes indeed she met someone with similar problems today who is having physical therapy for it so that may be an option

If Lulu can do it without chemicals it is a far better option, back problems are so painful it is better to try many routes to alleviate before giving in and doing nothing.

how are you dear friend @tattoodjay good morning
It is a pity that your wife's condition continues, I hope that the specialist finds a solution to her pain
I am sorry that the days continue to be ugly and windy in your city and will be an impediment in your daily walks.
What a beautiful place you have walked, your images as always really very beautiful; I appreciate that you shared
Have a great day

Thanks the forecast looks like things will be warmer soon I am looking forward to it

Let’s hope the Dr can quickly treat my wife and ease her pain

I love your photos that show or rather doesn't show the end of the road!
Makes you wonder what could be at the end of that bridge or that road...
and your imagination takes over from there...
All sorts of things can be imagined.
Have a great day @tattoodjay !

Ohh yes I get what you mean it’s good to let our imagination run wild now and again

Very scenic photos!
Thank you for sharing 🙏😊🎈
I am on my way for my own walk (and a little surprise to be included)
Have a lovely day!

Thanks and I am looking forward to seeing the surprise

I can imagine that you would like to get out for some walks during the day...I suppose it's still quite cold so early in the morning where you are.

But I agree with you wanting to be there for your wife. I would have felt the same. It makes sense what you say about the shoulder that is hurting is also now causing the back pain. The body tries to compensate to accommodate the pain, but that causes us to move in an unnatural way which then causes other problems...

I really hope for the best when she can see the specialist. We'll keep her in our prayers.

Thanks so much
I have got out for a couple of morning walks going out after sunrise to visit some new spots
It’s warming up here slowly so more opportunities for walks coming up

That sounds promising👍!

Yes indeed, but then again yesterday and today the morning temps were close to freezing again spring hasn't taken a good hold yet

Ouch! That sounds horribly cold... Good luck with the cold. In the meantime, have an awesome weekend!

you to have a good weekend

this morning at sunrise the real feel was 27, but in an hour at 7:30 it will be 40 and i will head for a walk then

Hi @tattoodjay! Apologies for the late reply... The weekend has been good so far! I hope to be hearing the same from you?

Did you manage to get out for that walk! I hope you enjoyed a good one?

That first photo is magic @tattoodjay!
I hope your wife will feel better very soon!

Thanks so much let’s hope the Dr next week can help her

Hello JJ. As always beautiful pictures and that looks like a fantastic place to walk or jog. My best wishes to your wife Lulu and hopefully the specialist will be able to help her so she can join you on the walks once the weather gets warmer. Do keep a positive attitude and enjoy Thursday ahead :}

Thanks so much am hoping and praying the Dr can get her on the mend and pain free quickly

I see you took a different route today :) ... I hope your wife is feeling better soon. Do try to keep her from being bored, but also get out at least once a day!

!PIZZA !ALIVE !LOL

You always go for your walks really early in the morning, don't you? I used to go for morning runs and love that fresh, cool air. Right now though - I'm sleeping! LOL

Here's my little link - sorry - didn't take the walk today :(

https://peakd.com/hive-155530/@oceanbee/lowkey-spring-blooms-hiveblopomo-day-27

No need for sorry as I said in my reply to your post

Yeas I have bene an early riser ever since i can remember and I love my peaceful quiet early morning walks

Beautiful shots, as always, @tattoodjay! I love the star pattern that bursts out of that lamppost light in the first one.

I'm very sorry to hear your wife is experiencing health challenges. Pain is the worst! I hope the doc she is going to will be able to help her with both the shoulder and back so she can return to mobility. I live by muscle relaxers when things seize up! It is often possible to get something like that through an urgent care physician, especially if the primary doc is not available right away.

Thanks so much, lets hope the Dr next week can confirm the issues and get some treatment working quickly to ease her pain :)

I truly hope so, @tattoodjay!

How I love your walks so early in the morning! You have the peace and quiet you need both for your thoughts and the opportunity to photograph untouched by anyone.

I'm sorry to hear that your wife is having these pains. I believe, likewise, that shoulder pain causes back pain, I've had it recently too. I wish her a speedy recovery!

I'm late with Wednesday's post, the time not letting me, but I didn't want to miss the pleasure of posting in this much-loved challenge.

We Took Our Kid For a Walk
