Wednesday Walk Victory Park New Bedford and signs of spring
This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Well shock of shock this makes three weeks in a row I have bene able to do a post with photos from recent walks, in fact this week I had a couple of options of walks to share, but decided to go with a walk I took in a small Park here in New Bedford, but first finally I have seen some signs of spring here so I will start and end this post with signs of spring.
I saw these lovely colored Crocus the other day

Now onto this weeks walk , Victory Park is a small park here in New Bedford I had not been to before , it has a small lake as you can see in the first photo

As you can see its still pretty dry and no signs of spring here, but that will soon change, I am sure it must look so much nicer when the greens come out

There is a walk way that goes all around the lake which I followed

I did come across this little free library, Such a great idea and good to see, even though I must admit its been a while since I read a paper book.

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

Is that someone's house in the one picture or some form of community building? It's nice to see signs of spring popping up. I am heading down south in a little bit and I am looking forward to see how things are blooming. Meanwhile at home I am still waiting for the daffodils to show signs of life in the woods behind our house.

thats a house across the road from the park, if your talking about the one as I was walking down one of the paths
After seeing the daffodils I checked the ones in our backyard this morning, but still no sign of them, last year they struggled and only a couple came up, so not sure what we will get this year
Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Very cool. We have had a lot of critters in our back yard this winter. I have heard they don't eat the daffodils, but I am still interested to see if they even come up.
I suspect Squirrels dug up ours even though I to have read that they dont, I did see a few holes around the yard

It's a magical time right now, our little cottage on Cape has daffs just blooming now. Another interesting Spring 'bloom' was they had to close the canal (well the bridges are a nightmare just now) but the acutal water canal from boats for 2 days as the right whales were using it to migrate. Just another Cape Cod coastal New England happening haha as well as crocus as daffs.
Got to love this time of year, the whales migrating and closing the canal I had never heardof that is so interesting

I love the colours. Sure it's pretty when it's greener but the stones, beiges and that killer blue sky live really beautifully together.

That is a lovely blast of Spring, right here! The colors are so vibrant and beautiful! I always forget just how vivid they are! Spring is always a new opportunity to discover the beauty around you.
Of course, beauty is in all shapes and sizes, but, there is something special about the beauty of spring. The crocuses are calling my name! Is that a park that you go to frequently? I feel like in the warmer months, there is a lot of overgrowths or abundant growth on it, but, it might be another one of the paths you frequent.
You should find one spot and keep taking pictures in the same spot and compare the looks. It is like another world there from summer to winter.
Three weeks in a row! Now, you are just spoiling us! :)

Nice #wednesdaywalk Our lake still has ice on it and the bulbs are just starting to emerge but really no flowers yet. Nice to catch the trail with no traffic on it. A little solace from the busy world is nice sometimes.

I join the challenge, so I practice my photographic eye, and it is a nice routine, I really see that it is also very interesting to see the differences between our countries and their diversity of beauties.

I love the flowers in the first picture, am sure it will look so amazing once spring fully comes in with lots of greenery. That's such a wonderful little library and I must admit its been a while since I read a paper book too. Nowadays I love pdf and audio books.
