Return to The Abandoned City

I think you are familiar with the paradox of sensations when visiting new places. I'm talking about the fact that when you first move to a certain final goal along a new route, the path there seems longer, thorny and interesting than going back. I think it also works in the matter of perception of the place you were in when you visited it again.

Ha I didn't realise you'd put it in Urban Explorations and I was going to summon @slobberchops !

This is soooo stunning - I really loved every photograph and every word. It's so photogenic I could imagine returning there again and again - and very filmic too. I can imagine them setting some kind of odd noir with a paranormal bent.

How you describe the nature set against the background of decay was how I felt when I went to Birkenau/Auschwitz many years ago. To see the tangle of pipes and bricks set against fields of yellow flowers was quite captivating, sobering, and beautiful all at the same time.

Thanks so much for sharing.

Your words add to the poetry of this place.

This is the answer to the question- why at least someone continues to live here, despite such a clear withering. Nature. The state of mind that she gives. Peace and contemplation. And the ability to appreciate small joys, in the form of good weather, as an incredible miracle, as grace. There is no rush, no competition, no ambition, just life to the song of the elements as it is.

Wow!!! It's very interesting place and beautiful.

I think it's pretty exciting to venture into an abandoned city, and I would love to explore such a city.
I suspect you had quite an adventure exploring the town.

another great post. i really get the feel of the abandoned place

This is a great Walk full of beautiful photographs,
When houses are abondoned, it leaves bird's with no choice than to make it fully theirs.

Apart from that, they still exists people who find the place good and convenient for themselves.

It was a nice journey I had in your Post ❤️

You are welcome.
Thank you for sharing, it was a nice trip 🥰

Truly agreed that visiting any place for the second time seems boring but sometimes energetic(if you have someone in your company whom can you guide and instruct about the amazing place just like you remained there for thousand years 😁hehe).

Why do human beings destroy the natural places either by overpopulating or leaving them deserted ( might be these homes would be occupied by wildlife now- but I am sure animals don't have greed to take the place of others - some mark twins ideologies hehe)

Hmmm so your car was more beast than that brown bear hehe I guess yes. Amazing photography along with perfect description - honestly I just love it. All credits to Dreemport 🌺

This was truly an exceptional read...very captivating, sobering, and strangely beautiful. The many photographs tell a tale of past habitation, abandonment, and a gradual process of nature taking back what is hers. This was a real lesson in history for me too! I came across your post because it was shared in Dreemport. Your closing thought brought to mind, only man beast pay to see wild animals in nature or travel miles to have the privilege of watching them roam free.

There is no rush, no competition, no ambition, just life to the song of the elements as it is.

Some yearn for all the above, live life!

Brilliant explore, loved the bears romping through the flowers on the hill photography, till next time!

!LUV Nature!

Would most definitely have been the highlight of my day as well, three cubs is quite a handful too feed and tend to, no wonder you kept in vehicle.
