MY DREAM JOB || [wWw Edition 01]

in WorkLife2 years ago

The feeling when one finally achieves a particular dream job is incredible. You will feel self-fulfilled, you will work in that field without struggle, be satisfied, and always be ready to give out! To some extent, the reverse might be the case when you find yourself in a particular job, not your dream, nor do you have an interest in that area but just for earning sake.

I will be sincere with you on this question below 👇👇👇

We all have our dream job but we may or may not have achieved it. Tell us what yours is and why. If you're one of the lucky ones to land your dream job already, how did that happen, and is it what you expected it to be like? If you're still dreaming, are you on your way to achieving your dream job or is it always going to be a dream 🚀

DID I LAND IN MY DREAM JOB?

Maybe I landed partially 😂, but not exactly the job I wanted! When I was still in high school, we had a seminar that exposed us to different kinds of jobs out there. This was to enable everyone to make some decisions either to go for science or Art(I guess a lot of schools do this). From the job explanations, I somehow wanted an office kind of job where I will just balance on a rotating chair 💺 and be doing my job under an Air conditioner 😂😂, but then....my utmost dream job was to be A MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST

I have loved the medical field so much right from the onset and so I was working towards achieving this goal. Helping lives through medical was my driving force towards getting a medical course! However, gaining admission into the university became a torn in my flesh. I read, attended lessons, and burnt my midnight candle 🕯️ several nights but in the end, I was cut off from the admission mark with just one mark. This happened for over 3 years seeking admission into Med Lab until my uncle suggested for me to deviate into another course though still a medical course.

Wow, I later got admission to study Dental Technology, and today, I am a certifiedDental Technologist. You see why I mentioned that I landed partially...lolz. From my observations in the part of my world 🌎, a lot of people neglect their oral health, they only visit the dental centers when a situation becomes severe. For the years I have worked in this profession, I have engaged with my colleagues creating awareness of the need to give attention to our oral health. This might not be my original dream job, but knowing how helpful this job is to people, I developed an interest in it and haven't had any regret. A good number of times I saw my patients smile after replacing some lost teeth, and I felt so fulfilled 👌.

I think it's high time I start creating a post on my work field, I may be teaching one or two persons a thing or the other but for this contest, I will stop here today. I believe, I was able to answer what my dream job was and where I landed finally.

In conclusion, I believe that whatever we set our mind to achieve, we can, with determination. I may not have achieved exactly what I wanted but I am okay with my work field, who knows I might go for a second degree in Med Lab in the future, just maybe!

Did I landed in my dream job?🤔
I can say somehow, cause when I was younger, it was my dream to work in the city, in tall buildings in an airconditioned office😂.
That was before I interest was caught by the men in uniforms. Which I didn't succeeded but I least I landed in office jobs...

On yours, congratulations! Still you are in medical field.

Wow...glad to hear your story as well 👌
If you are happy where you landed, then it's fine 😊 my friend 👍

Nigerian universities will always have their own plans 😅😪... I can relate to how you felt.

Well, medical lab scientist is a great occupation and dental technologist is just as great. I'm happy to hear that you eventually found passion in it. I'll be looking forward to those future blogs about oral health. I want to learn more from the best! 😁💕

Hmmm that's something, Nigeria institution know how to delay someone anyhow, thank God your uncle suggested trying something else, you're still a doctor as a dentist in Naija.

Wow
I really appreciate this 👏👍

You are doing well... Well done

At least you're still in the medical field which is a nice thing. You're still helping people get better.

One thing I've noticed in life is that at times it doesn't really give us what we want. But that doesn't mean we should back down. No, we make use of the available and make something tangible out of it. You couldn't get your desired course but you got another which is similar to your dream courses. Good luck.

You are right my dear
This is life for you, we don't get exactly what we want sometimes but the most important thing is not to give up on life ..we should keep striving for the good goal.
Yea, I am glad that I didn't deviate much .
Thanks for taking your time to read my post 👍
