Finally found what I was looking for at the Market

in Market Fridaylast year

It was Sunday . I had no intention of going to the market because it was not on my schedule of going there. I was done buying my weekly stacks and going there again when it's unplanned triggered my indolent self. And the possibility of temptation to purchase more than needed was just so hard to resist. 😅

But there is always a reason to come to the market. Something out of my control like when my two light bulbs went off. It was inevitable. I don't want to live in darkness. I needed to buy two, one for the sala and one for the comfort room.

So I went straight ahead to the market and to my suki store to buy two LED light bulbs.

This would be perfect for the comfort room. I only needed a small wattage bulb since it's just a small area of the house.

I was a little torn between buying this or a bulb with higher wattage. I want my sala to be the brightest part of the house.

After some time of choosing , I decided to buy three LED light bulbs. One will be reserved in case another bulb will go off.

This is what I said about temptations. See the icecream inside the freezer? It was so tempting.😅

Better view of the icecream. I was seconds away from deciding to pick one. Glad I was able to resist. Haha

I went to the counter and paid for the three bulbs. It cost me around 9$. Technology is really costly. 😁

I had what I needed so I was ready to go home. I did not want to enter another store or walk around the market so I won't be tempted to buy things that were not on my list and budget.

But as I walked towards the terminal area, a stall caught my attention. It displayed different bolos. When I saw it, I was reminded that I needed one to help me in taking out the grasses in the frontyard and I can also use this in my gardening. It was on my list but I just couldn't find it displayed in stalls and stores on a daily basis so I always forget that I needed one. Sunday is market day in our town and many sellers flock to the market, look for an area to display their products and the bolos were one of those products that were displayed.

Here are the different types of bolos displayed.

Long, sharp and pointed bolos with cover.

Long, sharp and but not pointed bolos.

Bolos without handle. If you are to buy this then you'll have to make the handle.

Curved bolo. This is used by farmers in harvesting rice.

Short and blunt bolo is used to weed out the grasses and can be of help in tilling the soil.

I bought the short and blunt bolo because I need it for my frontyard and for my garden. It costed me 1.4$. I was happy I finally was able to buy one.

This is the one I bought.

I was also able to replace my worn off light bulb.

I went to the market feeling lazy and came home happy with the products I bought. Well, shopping is really fun especially when you have unlimited funds. 😅

Have a great day fellow hivers. Thank you @dswiggle for this community where I can share my #MarketFriday experiences.

Mao lage ui.

Ambot kaha ron murag di na man manlimpyo ning mga bata.

Now i want to have ice cream 😅 and those bolos look dangerous. Those are illegal in the Netherlands!

Oh, so no bolos in netherlands. In here it's very useful especially for people in the rural areas.

Ang galning ng self control. Well done you! 😊

No choice pag limited budget sis 😅

You went to the market and came back with the things you needed. Bad is when you go and crave things that when you get home and wonder why did you buy this.

Haha. That's true. When you satisfy your craving, you go home regretful. Going to the market you need a lot of self control. 😁. Thank you for dropping by

I thought they were kamote on the first glance, haha! Oh, that is a freaking sharp bolo. We have some bolos but I think they are dull already.

Now that you mentioned it. I realize the reason why bolos are not displayed often. They can be dangerous.

Do you have a "bairan" ? You just it to sharpen that bolo again.

Sometimes one needs to just go to get things. 😎
Well done on your self control there hahaha they did look yummy hahaha 🤣 🍦
Have a great weekend further!

Hahah thanks. it was hard not to be tempted with those icecream. The next time sureIy will give in. 😅

Hahaha 🤣 you are welcome… maybe you will next time.
Have an awesome new week 👋🏻😊
