Great start to this post, the external I shot was crap! Here is one from their Facebook page.

I was spending the day with my Grand-daughter, Mia, and her partner Morgan, my fave. M&M's, they promised me a great day out.
A stroll around a former industrial area of Birmingham, Digbeth is now a hipster's paradise as well as a playground for the urban street artist.
These girls were true to their word and suggested we popped in to the market.
Arriving early always helps, before joe public get in the way of my lens!!
It is bright vibrant and colourful, enjoyed a good hour just walking around the stalls........
.......all of which are unstaffed, one picks up what one wants and pays at a central till by the main door. Very trusting indeed.
I guess getting in early has its downside when ya can't get a cup of tea!!
What is great about this place is the eclectic mix of small businesses, the range of products is crazy mad; the owners are able to put their own style on the pitches by decorating them however they see fit.
It sure does give them the edge in contrast to the council owned markets, where the power mad, vainglorious, small town sheriffs impose their petty rules and regulations.
Most of the items for sale are hand made by local artisans, artists and crafters.
With a good mix of upcycling and vintage retro items
I guess the target consumer is the young eco-concious instagrammer who will be posting and advertising the place......
.....and the soap dodgers from the nearby Universities (apologies to my M&M's)
Red Brick Market opened its doors in 2021 at 119 Floodgate Street, Digbeth. The building built in the 1940's is a former steel pressing firm of W.J. Wild Ltd.
Both photographs freely available on the web, free to use.
From the unusual
To the dainty
To the right on avent-garde
Red Brick Market says: “The market provides a shopping experience like no other and prides itself on being a treasure trove of unique small local independent creatives from sustainable fashion and homewares to antiquities, rare finds and original pieces; you’ll be sure to find an item you didn’t even know you needed!”

Have to admit it that due to my love of everything surreal this was my favourite stall.
I had my wallet out. "Not for sale"

Yup you guessed it "Not for sale"..................

That's one awesome looking Jigsaw puppet. Paul knows my style and must have an interesting workshop I'd like to visit!
Thanks for engaging @buffalobison , yes he is quite some artist.
Wish I'd known you were going, I would have asked you to pick up one of those Zen as fuck cards for me. Oh well, maybe I can pop over one day, it's a while since I've been in Birmingham. Lovely trip out 😍
Thanks for engaging @shanibeer "zen as fuck" is a pretty cool phrase, no denying that, think I might add it to my CV
What a very unique and original place. There are so many beautiful objects that I have never seen. Sin, they don't sell saw, I would like have that too 🙂. Nice post!
thanks for engaging @stea90 , yes a hidden gem, and it is good to support small independent artists
Yes, I agree, you did very well! When I meet similar places, I also always stop to visit and sometimes buy.

The market looks grand! I was a bit apprehensive looking at the front door. Perhaps worth a visit after all 😊
