This past week was not so eventful as far as Nigerian stem authors on hive are concerned (well, not up to our expectations) with a total of six unique authors supported by STEMsocial curation efforts during this period.
About the STEMng 80 hive giveaway contest
So far, only one valid entry has been submitted for the contest and there is roughly 5 more days to go till the deadline. Consequently, the management has decided to extend the contest by a period of one week to give ample time for more participants to submit their entries.
STEMsocial community still needs supports
The STEMsocial community is still actively seeking supports for its activities. Supports are needed in the following areas:
- through supporting our app funding proposal. More about the proposal can be found in this post.
- by delegating to the steemstem account or following its trail on hive.vote.
- by approving our witness, the stem.witness.
Our top post for the week
For our first week, here is a list of all the articles posted by Nigerian stem authors with their respective user names:
- @emperorhassy : ordinary matter
- @loveforlove: HEALTH AND DISEASES: Detailed Explanation on Different Types of Cardiovascular Disease #2
- @empressteemah: All About Gases As Being Taught In the Classroom #3
- @gentleshaid: a date with measles
- @loveforlove: HEALTH AND DISEASES: Detailed Explanation on Different Types of Cardiovascular Disease.

Our top pick for this week is the post by @steepup, Fueling wearable sensor with lactate; a self-powered e-skin. The post was submitted in response to the 80 hive giveaway contest. It provides for an interesting read about an artificial skin that is powered by human sweat. Feel free to give the author some support.
Till next week.......
