My cat named "Maou" started leaving the house when he was 1 year old.
In principle the departures were for 2 days, then for 5, then for 1 week, but it was the first time that it took so long to return.
The worst thing about having a cat outside the home is not knowing if it is okay.
I had to understand that it is their nature, especially when it is mating season.
I remember that a friend told me that on a full moon the cats disappeared in search of a mate because it was the mating season.
I do not know if my cat is old enough to do it but I am still afraid every time he goes out because he is still very young and I know that other cats can harm him.

Hearing it made me so happy. And as I did (when I heard him) I began to call him by his name and he began to meow louder and louder.

I did not want to waste a minute of his arrival and although he was away for a month I immediately called him to get on my legs.
I love the way they bring their heads closer as a sign of affection, it is their way of giving hugs.

Another important point is that every time I see him as more capable of surviving outside, the first times he was very thin and this time it was not like that.
I still find it difficult to let go of it for so many days, but I think cats train us to practice detachment.
