A Sleepy CATternoon

Today my class was just half a day so I immediately went home and did the stuff I needed to do. I have a follow-up check-up tomorrow, so I have to do stuff to make up for my absence. It was almost 3:00 PM when I finished them, and I was just chilling when I saw Luna sleeping. He really looks pretty cozy sleeping on our wooden couch. It's been a while since I observed him sleeping—given my quite cramped schedule. It's really a routine for him to sleep after his after-lunch roaming time, and it seems he's really tired because he didn't notice my presence.

After I got bored watching him, I took a cute pic of him, then I proceeded to look for Chappy. Chappy's really the one that's tricky to find, but lately she's been liking the fence of our neighbor so I assumed she's there. My assumption was right, she was indeed sleeping there, but unlike Luna, she noticed my presence. She immediately looked at me like I was a lowly creature lol. She's been quite distant to us since that incident with her eye, but of 'course there's still that lovable side and every now and then I give her cuddles.

But despite her change of behavior, I still find her endearing and more likable than Luna (not that I have favorites among them—but it's kinda like that) because what doesn't change is that she's still as sensitive and perceptive as before. She knows when you're uncomfortable and annoyed with her presence and she understands that and keeps her distance, unlike Luna who doesn't stop rubbing himself at you until you give him food. And it's a mystery to me why he looks thin despite his constant eating habits—maybe he burns it through his after-meal adventures? Well, no one knows because he just disappears after eating, and then comes back home to sleep.

Honestly, I'm quite worried with that habit of his because my Minggay died tragically because of his wanderings. I don't want him to roam around, but I don't want him to stay also for a long time in our room because I'm afraid he'll harm the small kittens. They still don't know how to walk and they even don't have yet teeth, so I'm really concerned for them. Before, I've seen how Minggay had brought a dead kitten—that I assumed he killed—so I was really afraid that Luna would also do that knowing he's a male cat. Male cats tend to be territorial, so as much as possible I don't want him to see the kittens and get triggered.

Those cute kittens were really adorable, though I find their mother annoying. She wants to put her kittens in my bed which I don't want to because it's quite itchy to have them. We can't bathe them because they're too small and young... I already tried bathing a small kitten before and it didn't end well. Maybe when they're older and already have more fur, we'll bathe them, but for now, we're just stuck with transferring them if Chicha puts them in my bed. There's a space for them in the cabinet where they got a bedding made of our old clothes, and I guess it's pretty comfy there.

I remembered how small they were when they were newly born, and now they're growing little by little, I couldn't help but wonder how they'll look when they are like Luna and Chappy...ahhhh I'm excited because I know they will definitely be cute!
