¡Hola a todos! Tengo una mini panterita de nombre Ikki, él tiene 11 meses (dentro de poquito cumple su primer añito 😍) y ayer fue a realizarse un chequeo médico.

Sólo una vez lo había podido llevar a una consulta veterinaria. Como era una organización gubernamental, la consulta no tuvo ningún costo y me lo diagnosticaron con criptorquidia. Pero la escasez de recursos del centro y la poca información que me dieron sobre su condición fue tal, que no quedé satisfecha con esa visita (Ni tenían para pesarlo 😞).

Only once had she been able to take him to a vet consultation. As it was a government organization, the consultation was free and I was diagnosed with cryptorchidism. But the lack of resources at the center and the little information they gave me about his condition was such that I was not satisfied with that visit (nor did they have to weigh him 😞).

Es la condición de los animales (gatos, perros) cuando sólo le baja un testículo (unilateral) o ninguno (bilateral). En el caso de Ikki, el sufre de criptorquidia bilateral porque a sus 11 meses, no presenta la formación externa de sus testículos.

Esperé un par de meses a ver si los testículos de Ikki lograban descender. Pero como ya está poco cumplir un año y aún nada, gracias al dinero hecho aquí en Hive, lo llevé a un consultorio veterinario pago para recibir más información.

Antes de salir estaba muy nerviosa, pues Ikki no quería dejarse colocar el arnés y mucho menos quería entrar a su transportador (Para mí que sospechaba algo por la anterior visita).

I waited a couple of months to see if Ikki's testicles managed to descend. But since it is almost a year and still nothing, thanks to the money made here at Hive, I took him to a paid veterinary office to receive more information.

Before leaving she was very nervous, because Ikki did not want to be put on the harness and much less wanted to enter his transporter (For me, I suspected something from the previous visit).

El doctor fue muy amable y lo más importante, bastante informativo. Me comentó que, en efecto, para su edad, ya debería de tener sus testículos a la vista. Lo palpó y parece que los sintió alojados en su vientre, así que me aconsejó traerlo el próximo mes para ver cómo avanzaba (Y si era posible, hablar de una castración común).

The doctor was very friendly and most importantly, quite informative. He told me that, indeed, for his age, he should already have his testicles in view. He felt it and it seems that he felt them lodged in his belly, so he advised me to bring it in next month to see how it progressed (And if possible, talk about a common castration).

Para mi sorpresa, el doctor le inyectó Complejo B, e Ikki no mostró gran molestia. A diferencia del cortado de uñas, que no pudieron hacérselo por completo, pues se puso algo nervioso por el sonido.

Me recomendó variarle la comida, sobre todo la marca de croquetas, para que no se acostumbre a un sólo tipo. Así como añadir un poco de sardinas una vez a la semana. Ya le estaba dando carnes rojas, pero por lo visto es necesario implementar las sardinas a su menú.

En verdad, estoy muy contenta por haber ido a ese consultorio. Originalmente no era el sitio al cual lo iba a llevar, pero, como no cuento con vehículo, éste sitio me quedaba más cerca de mi domicilio.
