Digbeth, a suburb in Birmingham, UK. Once an area of Industry, slums, squalor and street gangs or sloggers. The BBC, (that's the biased broadcasting corporation, to those that understand), based the popular, now in it's 6th and final series, Peaky Blinders, on said gangs.
Now although parts still carry their historic past in the amazing architecture, much has been gentrified and is the hip place to hang out.
Let's walk the streets and admire the often overlooked beauty of stencils and bits of sticky paper.
A chance for political expression?
Elbit, is an Israeli based "defence" electronics company.
A chance for political truth?
Top left sticker.
A chance for non politically correct humour? (tongue deep in my cheek at the thought of all the bed wetting generation Z wetwipes who are making an industry of being "offended")
I give you the glamorous and wonderful Rose West, who between the late 60's to the late 80's, along with her hubby Fred murdered at least 12 people at their home In Gloucester.
The beauty of randomness.
Every lamppost has a story to tell.
What do you take me for? Some kind of Pilchard?

I love these streets with street art and stickers and stuff like that. I thought Birmingham was especially good, I guess the architecture added a little more color.

Cool shots. There's a lot of political stickers in there. Interesting.
yeah lots of students in the area, it is only about a 10 minute walk from two major universities
My guy! Are you a fellow brummie too?
Not sure when you're gonna be down Digbeth again, but the area where you shot, jus behind the Moor Street train station, on a little strip of road, there is a very nice internet gaming cafe by the name of Net Adventure. The guys have been running the joint for over 10 years. Did you happen to come by this place?
The first photo you shot, right in front of you at the end of the street is a very nice cafe called the Warehouse Cafe. I did a magic show there once, it was very nice. Link and video here https://peakd.com/hive-181335/@jin-out/sumrzdnj
Now if you turn left, that's where Net Adventure is. If ever you come in, ask for Jin (that's me) and tell em you're a friend of mines. They will look after you.
Hey @jin-out no matey I am from North wales, I was down for the day visiting My granddaughter who is at Brum, Uni. She knows I like street art and quirky stuff so I visited for the day and she took me for a tour of Digbeth. I am slowly sorting out the snaps I took, (just over 300, I get carried away!!), I don't consciously remember seeing your place but may have done, time will tell. if I ever return I shall without doubt pop in and say Hi.
That does look a cool place and your magic is pretty damn good!!!
I've never been to Birmingham but it seems to have a thriving graffiti culture 😀
hi @moemanmoesly yes this part does, I have never been before either it is a bastard to drive into and around.
