DIY: FUNNY HANDMADE 'WRITE&REMOVE BOARD" FOR UNSCHOOLING

in Home Edders3 years ago

Everyday exploring of the world can bring amazing ideas for unschooling and just for kids' fun!

My son noticed that everything that had been written on a duct tape by a marker could be easily removed by..anything;)

  • Do you wanna make a magic 'write&remove" board for paintings and reading? - I proposed to him

His eyes were shining because he liked such boards when he had been smaller than now.

Take duct tape and stick it on a piece of cardboard. We need a piece of polyethylene too, and it wil be our "sponge" for removing, but an ordinary sponge is great too btw.
We took a piece of that bubbles film that is so beloved by all kids;)

Just 1 min and DIY-tip for unschooling and fun was ready:)

How did we us it?

  1. Reading

We're in the process of studying reading now, and we use many ways to train it and to be it not boring
Such cards made of our handmde "write&remove" boards are great to pratice it.

  1. Maths

It can be used for Maths too. And here my son wrote results by himself too.

  1. More variants

We took a piece of cardboard with one side that could be opened. And it was our game "Guess how much?"

I wrote a Maths example, and the result at that moving side, and closed it until my son didn't say his own variant.

And then it was one more task - I wrote the wrong result, and he had to understand if it was ok or not.

Yes, very primitive games but they appeared to be amazing for my boy - something new and soemthing made by his own hands!

It's very nice and creative the way you used the cardboard and the ribbon. I really like the idea as it allows you to reuse the pieces. I would add a bit of colour to them, of course I love colours. Congrats great post

yes thank you! colours will be nice!

Now that is a really clever idea!

Though I got confused with the tape you said you used as we normally call the clear tape just sticky tape and duct tape is powerful stuff that isn't clear, can hold anything together and is an effort to get off XD

really??:) oh, sorry, it's my husband and google translator confused me!:)
I wanted to write exactly Sticky tape, but I asked him...and he told me about Duct tape and was very proud he knew that word, and I didn't know it;)) then he cheked in the translator and was proud again:)
now I will make him sad;))

It's technically correct I guess XD duct tape is just powerful sticky tape that can be used for craft or packing purposes but is usually used for repair work on pipes and stuff XD

Oh! Really useful. My daughter also loves to make write and wipe boards. The last time, she made using 1" wide transparent tape! Lol. So she used up a lot from the roll. I told her next time we have an adhesive plastic she can use. She said it's fine, coz the tape worked. 😁

ahh write and WIPE ;) ok, thanks;)
kids like such boards yes;)
