Through The Eyes Of My 5 Year Old Daughter.

Every now and again, I look through the photos of my phone and discover ones that I didn't take. Which means two out of my three daughters, had their hands and my phone and took photos of their own. I really would prefer if they asked me first, but there is also a part of me, that enjoys discovering these little gems.

An insight into what they deem worth capturing. The best is usually the videos they take, I have caught them in the middle of 'their' movie, so many times. But I will not share those videos, that is something they can choose to do at a later date if they want to.

My youngest, who is 5, scares me, with how easily she can use phones and computers. I swear she knows more than me, especially when it comes to phones.

I still think young kids look wrong with phones in their hands, but they see us use them and it makes perfect sense that they too want to get involved, so I am to blame for that one. But soon I am returning to using a normal phone and will let the smart phone go for good, it's too easy to get wrapped up in it.

So last night after the girls retired for the night, I had a quick look through my phone and found the following photos, which my youngest daughter took, which gives a little insight, into the way in which she sees the world.

The first one,(which you can see up above) is of our home. I love how she took this photo looking up to the window. A sneak peak before she ventures inside. At this point I had no idea, that she had my phone, let alone that she was taking pictures with it.

As she walked alongside the truck, she would reach the back, which is where the entrance is. Freya our canine companion loves to sit up here on the tail. Sunning herself until she is to hot and then she seeks out the shade. My girls love Freya and my youngest is often curled up next to her. Freya is usually always their to greet you.

Inside the truck, she comes across one of her most recent paintings. I love this one she did. A friend of mine, recently gave them lots of paint and in amongst them was gold. Which my youngest two were super excited about and soon found many ways in which to use it. This beautiful painting being one.

She intially wanted to give it to a friend, but then told me she really liked it and wanted to keep it. She decided she would paint a different one for her friend. I'll be honest and say ,that I am glad that she did, cos I love it and think it looks great inside our home.

Then without my knowing, she took a picture of the computer screen, where I was immersed in mushroom world, (with headphones on) watching the life cycle of mushrooms, a segment from the mushroom Cultivation course that I am doing. Which I am really really enjoying. Mushrooms are so fascinating and this has really awaken my passion for them.

Then it was over to her sister, who has been creating this wonderful scrapbook. She has been so focused on this project. It is the first thing she turns to when she wakes up and the last thing she puts down. It is filled with her artwork, her words, images that resonate with her and full of all the things she loves. It is so good and super creative!

It has been such a joy, to watch her create this. Using old newspapers and book to add more detail and character to it. It's quite the work of art already.

Then she managed to sneak into my bed and take a picture through the mosquito met, which I think, makes sure a wonderful affect. There's her sister, working still on her scrapbook and me possibly making some lunch or trying to tidy up. You can see the buckets that I have already sourced for the course in the picture.

The last few days have been super windy, so we have spend more time indoors, as after a while, the strong wind, can make you a bit stir crazy, so better to retreat indoors for a while.

So there you have it, a little glimpse into our day, through the eyes of my 5 year old daughter.

Sort:

When my youngest was little she was playing with my dad's phone and took a photo or two. One was of a drink on the table and later a professional photographer commented that she had a good eye for photography. She actually didn't take it up again until recently, though.

I want to get a camera, as I really want to encourage my girls to take pictures. To me they all have a good idea, I am bias though lol xxxx

Lol! Nothing wrong with that! Pretty sure I'm biased too. 😁

It is no secret that children today are growing up in a world that is vastly different from the one their parents and grandparents grew up in. One of the biggest differences is the way children interact with technology.

While previous generations may have needed to be taught how to use a phone or computer, children today seem to be born with an innate understanding of how to use these devices. This is likely due to the fact that they are growing up in a world where technology is increasingly prevalent.

So what does this mean for the future? It is likely that children who are growing up with a strong understanding of technology will be better equipped to handle the challenges and opportunities of the future and your daughter is not exempted.

Yes you are so right, they are a child of their ages and the best one can hope for is that they are very well equipped to handle what life throws at them. I try and give my girls space to explore, even when it is uncomfortable for me. As long as they are safe, then it is all good. xxx

The way children see the world is really amazing, they have that magic that comes from their innocence and that is why they manage to capture the true essence of things. I think they are very beautiful and fascinating photos of your daughter, in addition to demonstrating a great talent to capture every moment with only 5 years. Congratulations.

Thanks so much @tomaspalomo, for your lovely feedback xxx

That's right, children know how to use phones better than adults. I liked the photos, the little girl's vision will always be different from ours, perhaps more creative. Greetings.

Yes, we all see things differently and I love watching my girls create, they are all very good at it xxxx

Hi @trucklife-family, it's amazing how kids today know how to manipulate phones with amazing skills that amaze us; Freya's photo looks beautiful she looks very relaxed enjoying the sun.

Blessings!

Yes Freya is a super chilled dog. Thanks for dropping by @belkyscabrera xxx

She focuses on nice moments it would seem, I bet there were some embarrassing pics here and there that you decided not to share haha
