Hive-Engine went down with the hard fork for a little under 24hours. We had to trim blocks back and replay because of the unintended fork on 23 before the actual fork to 24.

Everything is operational again. Happy trading!

Side note: I remember in Lord of the Rings when Gandalf dies and comes back not as Gandalf the Gray, but as Gandalf the White. Hive-Engine took a day of rest and is looking to come back in a new phase of life. We need your help though!

Hive Engine growth plan

Hive-Engine is at a good stage to decentralize more and offer more smart contracts on the platform.

The goal isn't to authorize everyone and everything on the side chain. The challenge is that human ingenuity is infinite, but the capability of a single server in a 3 second block time is finite. So, we're intentionally limiting the smart contracts to a handful of battle tested, highly general, and efficient bunch that can be used by all and are likely to power a majority of applications. Anything more specific can live in your app.

To make the shift we need some help. For the past bit our team has been working on business logic contracts, but in order for us to move our to a higher level of decentralize hive-engine more we need people to back fill writing business logic smart contracts for hive-engine.

We're calling a meeting tonight at 9pm eastern in https://discord.gg/8Ud4qyd. In it we'll discuss this plan, talk about the contracts we're looking to have authored, figure out what it will take to get there, and work with our community to get Hive-Engine to the next level.

If you're a dev that can code in javascript kindly come swing by. If you're a community manager or project owner consider stopping in as we'll discuss how the various communities will be able to participate in the plan. If you own Workerbee you likely want to attend as well as this plan impacts overall governance as well.
