Hive Testimoaning: How, Where to, Why and Struggles.

I have not been posting or interacting on the HIVE Blockchain lately so this initiative is as good as any to prompt me to do so.

And it's for a decent enough cause so here I go...

How did I come to be here? Where did I find out about it?

The story behind this is still pretty fresh in my memory and something that would deserve waxing lyrical over. I remember it fondly as it was a time when #CoronaVirus was starting to take a firm grip on us, instilling fear and irrationality as it took hold across the world and was declared a #scamdemic by the dictate of the World Health Organisation. There was a hard fork that took place where the #steem community baulked against Justin Sun (Front-man for Tron) purchasing steemit.com and Steemit Inc from the previous owners.

His adoptive portrayal of a Chinglish speaking golden-boy was to look like he was innocent by virtue of ignorance. There was much confusion, fear and anger over his side-stepping around the issue of the Steem community not being respected or given due regard when it came to Justin PsychoSun's future plans for Steem. This all happened during a time when the world was either appalled with the Chinese Communist Party that was assumed to be the source of the #Coronavirus, and on the other hand loudly singing their praises in dealing with this pandemic in a severe and swift way.

Well, us on the #steem blockchain knew that the CCCP was as full of shit as Justin PsychoSun and declared war: as a cluster of many disparate communities there was a joyful unity in rebellion against this attempted takeover by "playing the fool". I'm not sure about the others but this period was a lifesaving distraction when I was at one of the most down, drug-addled and destructive periods in my life. I manifested my immense hatred of Communism and the 2020 induction of mankind's global enslavement into something more productive than the destructive despair I started the year with.

Fun-filled activities such as doxxing Justin Sun, collecting and publishing reams of research regarding the CCP and they dystopian visions of the future and analysing their roadmapped future for us all was the labour of my days and nights

Technological progress faced it's death's knell as a concept of liberation when I read (and firsthand witnessed via Justin PsychoSun) how the CCP was implementing their annual "white papers" and "road maps" of a decentralized totalitarian dystopian future under their absolute control

I can't get a handle on everything I saw, read and went through during this period. A lot of CCCP's past and future legacy remains unknown and I urge you to read it today so you can see that you are not safe and are not intended to be safe ever again

Anyway, after this period of High Drama Space-Opera Tier cyberwar against Justin Sun's, he eventually succeeded in a brute force takoever of the controlling stake of the Steem Blockchain. Therefore the #Steem community split into a hard fork of Steem and called it #HIVE. I still am not a fan of the name but hey, it works and it's resilient and I'm still here. And able to freely say Fuck CCCP, Fuck Justin Sun and all their shadowy puppet masters who will eventually dispose of them like the abhuman entities they are.

My Struggles

At the moment my main struggle is time. I love investigating, writing and publishing but I do not have the abundance of time which I once did during the self-isolation and lockdown periods earlier this year. Today time is extremely scarce for me and I often go without normal hours of sleep just to be able to participate in other things outside of my full-time job which I am committed to. I don't believe there is much time left too - whether for me or for all of us, I expect time is running out.

So my current struggle is dealing with extremely strenuous working environment changes and how the long-tail losses are becoming actualized. There's more to this and it's extremely important that I document it someplace (like an immutable blockchain) but I'll provide greater detail in another post.

Positive & Negative Stories

Onboarding a couple of friends this year. Unfortunately one of them got flagged / downvoted by a whale and ruined their reputation rating forever as a newbie. They became disheartened and haven't returned.

Meeting @recoveryinc and being inspired by his introduction post. Showing that same post to a friend in the USA who was also very inspired by it. Reconnecting with good, interesting and esoteric content posted here which in turn reminds me of how shitty the rest of the internet can be.

Some negatives: very poor marketing and ease of accessibility to information. Not a fan of "communities" as a way to organise and collate content when the search bar function barely if at all works on its own. A lot of the HIVE whales are not aggressive enough, not interested in leadership or really weaponizing the inherent power behind a blockchain such as hive.

How I feel Right Now

Actually pretty damn hopeful. Seeing Hive-wide participation in initiatives such as this make me want to participate again. Also pretty grateful for #palnet and some of the people there with their @msp-waves shows who have become a part of my weekly routine @crimsonclad @r0nd0n @orlev.

When I get some more time I will be wanting to participate again in a big way. To a level where I envisage a blockchain latently capable of severely disrupting the technocracy, aristocratic elite rulership of the globe.
