The Blue checkmark experience.

Ive had my blu check for a whole month now and I wanted to share a bit of my experience lately. I was never a big Twitter user, posting basically to fulfil the Hive Twitter quota to showcase some activity there. After some time it becomes boring considering that you cant really leave the Hive echo chamber Twitter put us in and the box is sealed fairly well so rarely anything can escape either.
When Musk started selling the checkmark it opened an opportunity to actually having your tweets and responses escape the box.

Unleashing the Blu:

Its not a secret that a well timed response on a popular tweet can generate substantial views and engagement. However, having a verified account amplifies these benefits significantly. Any well timed response I would make on any general topic tweet got me 15k-50k views. A couple hundred profile visits.
Last month I got 200k impressions tweeting only every few days.
Last 2-3 days I got 100k impressions with a decent engagement rate.
The last time I was hitting these numbers was during the Hive/Justin drama at a time when all of CT was looking at what we were doing and we spent all day tweeting.

These numbers show me that there is an advantage that verified accounts possess on Twitter, where even minimal activity can yield significant exposure.

Considering the potential of the blu, there is an opportunity to strategically utilize it to expand the reach and influence of the Hive community. As with anything, a method needs to exist. We could develop a list of high engagement accounts outside crypto with Hive related topics, develop a strategy of indirect promotion, time them, buff the initial response via Hive followers on twitter and farm engagement on a continuous basis. Doesnt cost anything.

A target segment of potential users and investors doesnt need to be crypto related. We just need quality responses related to the topics discussed.
From there they are lead towards specific profiles and explore on their own.

Notice me senpai:

One of the advantages of this strategy is that the target segment for potential users and investors doesn't have to be limited to the crypto space. By participating in discussions outside the realm of cryptocurrency, we can attract a diverse audience. Again, timing and topic choice is key.
The results you will achieve often depend on you, the actual person behind the tweet. I do fairly well when it comes to drawing attention but my profile comes off as that of a typical "cryptobro". Having a potential hook beyond your response will affect engagement positively.
Plenty Hivers that are more interesting than I am.

Sort:

I have almost twice your followers on Twitter and my most popular replies don't even get 100 views without Twitter blue. They basically made it a requirement to use Twitter.

Even with the checkmark, if you only post Hive stuff and dont engage outside of the tag you basically only get more visibility inside the Hive tag. And that has a fairly low viewership ceiling of between 1-5k at the best.
We would really need to search for engagement outside our echochamber. Expand what those that engage with us get to see to include Hive in some cases.

hashtags are the secret to using twitter effectively, but the blue checkmark nerfed them for non-checkmark users.

I gave up on Twitter. It is a great platform to promote Hive on though. Thank you for your efforts. Seems to be a huge push by all these social networks to sell engagement in the form of verified accounts with special features. I'm also seeing it on Instagram now. I'm focusing most of my attention on Hive these days, and also enjoying Reddit for trading and shitcoin info. I try to mention Hive when I can on both platforms.

I dont really wander beyond twitter when it comes to web2. I havent used any of those others in years.

Wow, I'm famous now!

Yes yes, your analysis is pure Gold.

Wow, that is a huge number. 100k in 2-3 days in definitely a good impression rate. Impression rate means how many people saw that right ?

It means how many times its seen. Some people can view it more than once.

Yeah, i understand maybe some might be visiting it more than once. Probabyly those who were interacting.
BTW, on youtube we can see the impression click rate as well, can we see that on twitter ?

Theres professional analytics probably covering everything. The analytics offered as default arent that deep. You get engagement rate and thats about it along with views and clicks.

So you're saying the blue tick really works. You just have to write the right things. Maybe I can try this in the future to spread Hive, I haven't spent much time on Twitter lately, but I used to tweet a few times a day.

It does work for sure but you only see the effect if you engage outside of Hive since the tag has limited viewership and rarely anything escapes it even with the checkmark.

interesting

You have convinced me to get a blue check for @documentinghive even though I will always sound like a crypto bro and a hive maxi xD

Try it out, try and reach out outside Hive, see how you do.

Checkmark enhances the engagement and users often think that any tweet coming from checkmark account will be authentic.
