Mystery of world's oldest computer.gif

One thing has puzzled me for ages. How ancient people had advanced technology? But, I forget one thing, we today have technology still expensive for mass production.

We assume it was impossible - incredible, yes, but probable. The ancient people had all the mental capabilities we have and had no reason to limit the same genius.

The oldest computer is a 2000-year-old device. Scientists were working on a better understanding of the device.

They think that a hand-powered mechanism is an astronomical calculator (the analog computer). Scientists hope they will recreate the entire clock with modern materials.

I have to stress this - they assume it. The interpreted data make assumptions in a way we understand the best. So, we may find one day that the Antikythera mechanism is something else.

The device allegedly shows five planets known to the time, Moon phases, the solar, and lunar eclipses. The problem? One-third of a device survived, so they need to resurrect the other parts.

I wonder what people will think if one day some lucky person unearths Jeff Bezos’s (CEO of Amazon) 10 000 years clock?

Do you know what it is?

It is a giant mechanical clock 152 meters tall, called the Clock of the Long Now, and will tell time for 10 000 years.

I believe whoever finds that pearl in the distant future will have difficulty understanding the purpose of the mechanism.

Yes sir, here it is:

Big chunk of it missing. Looking forward to see the final idea.
