A new "service" started on #steem formerly know as a blockchain with impact on the #hive blockchain

Only more 3 weeks to go until I will not open any #steem related sites anymore.
But I managed to get on a newly started blacklist on my last days there.
Just like @ericwilson, @espoem, and @carn.

The list might grow quickly.

What happened?

We downvoted @steemflag for draining the reward pool - at least @ericwilson and I did. I can't speak for @espoem and @carn. These downvotes were worth about 0.002 - 0.049 STU each.
It was more a symbolic act.

What do we receive in return?

100% downvotes from about 50+ accounts (+/-1.50 HTU) here on #hive on the post that is the closest to payout. I don't know yet exactly how they are working. Will they downvote once for the one downvote they received?
Or will they downvote all posts about 12 hours before payout once you are on their list?

The biggest downvote in this trail comes from huaren.news who is living almost purely on leased HP.
Perhaps the hivers delegating to this account want to rethink their decision and delegate their HP to other accounts?
I saw that some already canceled their delegation some days ago.

What they might not understand

By draining the #steem reward pool they are weakening the #steem ecosystem and their downvotes on #hive are strengthening the #hive ecosystem even if it hurts some people.

Conclusion

This post is FYI (for your information). #steem and #hive are separate chains but what you do on #steem can have impact on #hive.
