Is it just me, or is nothing working here?

in #hive3 years ago (edited)

I deleted the Ecency app on my phone because that wasn't really working at all. I was having trouble claiming rewards and getting all sorts of errors. I tried different nodes, but that didn't seem to help. Usually, it just made it worse.

Things work a little better on PeakD, but I am still getting a lot of errors.

This just doesn't seem good. I'm a little worried about Hive, if I have to be honest. Does anyone feel a little foolish who has been here for years, always thinking that something bigger and brighter was just around the corner? I can't help but notice it never came, and I'm staritng to realize it probably never will.

There's a big part of me that is tempted to power down all of my Hive while it still holds some value at all. There's still that part of me that thinks... well, what if.

I won't power down, but I won't hide the fact that I definitely think about it sometiomes. When I see the price of Bitcoin rising and Hive just stays around $.14. When it's even lower than Steem. That's when I start to worry that I've made a huge mistake. I don't have any Steem anymore. I turned it all into Hive. Well, some of it I turned into Splinterlands cards, but then I sold those (again) and turned that back into Hive.

Okay, carry on. Don't mind me. I'm still here. I'm just worried. Are you worried?

I’ve definitely noticed a lot of errors and it’s getting tedious. I haven’t looked in a few days I think but I kept trying to look at the devs community to try and learn of some type of explanation for it all but it wasn’t there. It’s a big thing to change the infrastructure of things the way that it seemed from Blocktrades post but it’s odd that issues persist. Fingers crossed I guess

I’m just here for some of the games these days.

Which ones do you play? I used to play Splinterlands a lot, but I lost interest a while back, got back into it a little bit here and there, and now I lose more interest with every update they make.

Oh I do have an account on the Brewmaster one! I saw they do not want people playing on more than one account, so I'll have to make sure I remember which one I signed up with.

I'm worried as well but I just keep hoping for some sort of breakthrough and when I say that I don't mean just the various front-ends and their limited functionality since the HF. I admit I know very little about the interior workings round here so I don't really get on their cases for not fixing something that i don't even understand.

I just try to stay positive :)

Me too mostly. I'm still here and posting actively and still powering up. I think there's a tension in most peoples' lives right now that can tend to make us worrisome.

I have high hopes for Hive and will continue to power up and try to tell people about it. My first account was created in November of 2017, so I wasn't there in the very beginning, but I've been here for years and I have been posting the whole time.

I was just expressing the worry that I think a lot of people probably have in the backs of their minds. The road ahead is not obvious at this point, but I hope we end up somewhere good.
