The News
I did not do a #FollowFriday post last week as I was away, so I am catching up with some news. The big one is that @hivefest is going to be in Amsterdam in September! I plan to be there and would love to meet more of the community. I know it is not an ideal location for many, but anyone is free to take on the burden of organising a local event.
The cryptocurrency market is still in a bit of a slump, but I am hoping things will improve soon as I want to use some of what I earn here to pay for my trip to Hivefest.
There is a UK Hive event tomorrow if you can get to Halifax. @c0ff33a is hosting it at his coffee roasting warehouse. I was offered a lift there, but I have not been well this week and so it is best that I stay away from crowds.

- @nicklewis has done another [Follow Friday post](https://peakd.com/hive/@nicklewis/follow-friday-hot-weather-here-in-the-uk}. I am always happy to see more of these.
- It is good to see @nathanmars posting again. I know some people feel they need a break from social media at times as it can be overwhelming. He is writing a book about his crypto experiences.
- @paolobeneforti is always sharing his art with us on Hive, but he has an actual exhibition.
- @killerwot has made a music video for a band. He is also involved in the documentary about Hive.

It is due to be a really hot day in the UK, which is not what I need when feeling unwell. I hope others have a much better weekend than me.

Would love to meet up in Amsterdam but we will be in Greece on those dates. Close to the end of the holiday though so I'm toying with the idea of changing the return flight to come home via Amsterdam.
I've already changed it twice for Covid reasons so not sure I can do it again.

Will be great to meet you there, but I hope there can be more UK events too. Looks like they had a good one in Halifax today, but that's a long trek from here.

It's dropped more than some others, but then it was worth bugger all anyway. I know some want it to succeed, but they don't have that much to offer really. The lack of downvotes may cause them some issues in the long run.
