My tiny bedroom window view

One of the weird yet cute aspects of my bedroom is this tiny window:

I don't know if the picture really speaks for its size but that's a 10x20cm thing. Located high and close to a corner with a fixed glass it's not a main attraction by any means but I love to have a look from time to time through this weird thing which is a cross between a loophole and a cartoon thingy.

Of course you probably focused on the obvious, the blue and white view but looking at this 50cm long ceiling of it there's more to see:

It's a couple of wasps and in front of them is their new nest hanging from the ceiling:

The fixed glass which also is non accessible from the outside didn't allow for the most pristinely clear images but still you can appreciate the architecture of this thing which is like an upside down mushroom. Several years ago they have built another one, identical copy of the current nest and you can watch part of their finalising process here:

The South wind destroyed it later and now new wasps are back with their new home:

Looks like a dangerous place to me. Are you locked up? 😂

Those wasps are scary and if you don't want them, you should spray the spot they are trying to build as they are guided by the smell and a strong spray would eliminate it.

I see the view is amazing though.

From the inside the glass is fixed and outside it's not accessible (as I mentioned) so spraying is not possible but for the same reason (being kinda remote) they don't bother me. Once they tried to build something at my balcony's rail and I stopped them with a water nozzle. They didn't come back at the same spot ever since 🙂 It's impressive how fast they can be. Can you believe that they managed to build a nest at my car's engine bay? This means they finished it in only a few days the car stayed unused.
