Introduction: Project Restart Review

Kevin Fahey has been one of those quiet achievers in the make money online scene. He has become something of a master at product launches with a range of products covering software and information products and private label rights products. His real hallmark products are the Internet Marketing (IM) Checklists. Introducing Project Restart review:

A friend of his set him a challenge. What would he do if he lost all his products and connections to get back to 5 figures in as quick time as possible? Project Restart was born. He started writing down his ideas on how to get back to a 5 figure a month business. Now this is not the same as starting a new business as a beginner. He already knows what works and what does not work. He turned the report into Project Restart product.

Front End - Dimesale from $12.95 - now over $15.

There are 7 video modules and a 34 page report and 1 hour 40 minute training presentation. Kevin has also added some bonuses to help with things along the way. Pricing started at $12.95 on a dimesale with a cap at $19.95. I paid $14.69 for my copy - no review copy for me - here is my receipt.

I must say I prefer the written report as I absorb information faster that way and I can write my notes on a printout. Writing style is crisp and clear. I made a Project Restart review video which talks about the front end product. Check the Project Restart review video below

What is different about my review is I have gone back to a strategic framework - this is what I always do. I used my own IM Strategic Framework invented in 2014 and placed the elements of the report into it.

The strategic approach is to bring together a combination of knowledge, skill and passion into a focus point– strategy and product. Then construct an Internet Marketing Engine bringing together the technologies you need, driving traffic and turning thing over and over and scaling up again and again.

The report does not have a strong structure like this but this is what I see (I have noted chapter numbers on the drawing)

  1. Strategic Focus: Chapter 1 on choosing a business model
  2. Product Focus: Some comes from business model choice but most comes Chapter 3: Research especially to find that starter product. Research also helps to find what customers want which is central to the marketing part
  3. Internet: Chapter 6 covers the minimal toolset you need - not a lot because this product is not about tools => autoresponder, domain and basic hosting, page builder, mobile phone to make videos. That is it.
  4. Marketing: Chapter 2 talks about building relationships. Find where prospects hang out and build relationships with them. Partnering is a strong way to really ramp up a restart = do not try it alone.
  5. Engine: This is all about scaling up and cranking it over the keep momentum. Chapter 4 and 5 covers this - finding repeatable products or recurring revenue models and the like.
Kevin has added in a long training webinar to supplement the videos and the report. I have not sat through the 1 hour and forty minutes yet. He knows how to explain stuff in simple terms and as long as he follows some structure to get from A to Z, this will be a worthy addition.

Now my fear on this product is it may not work for pure beginners because it assumes a base level of knowledge of how things work. See OTO#2 for how to plug that gap. What you will note is that Project Restart hones in on selling your own products or services and not working as an affiliate marketer. Partly, this is a bias on the side of Kevin Fahey which he admits but more importantly, it is a function of the target of a 5 figure month - it is hard to do that quickly without selling your own products.

My partner, Dean Holland talks, in his book The Iceberg Effect, about 3 roles in online marketing on the perfect path to 7 figures and suggests they go in phases. Phase 1 is The Connector - bring prospects to other people's offers. Phase 2 is The Creator where you sell your own products. Project Restart really hones into this phase as its base. Phase 3 is The Commander where you design a business model to run 24/7 whether you are there or not.

One Time Offers

There are four one time offers - these really are upsells to the front end

OTO#1 - Interviews & Bonus: $37

  • 10 Interviews With Top Marketers (at last count there were actually 21)
  • New $16K Case Study - 3 Programs That Allowed Kevin To Generate Over $16,000 On Clickbank In A Few Short Weeks, Without Doing Any Heavy Lifting. Full Breakdown video of each promo, how he did it, the bonuses and the product.
  • Plus 3 Exclusive Match Made Bonus Products IM Newbie - For those just starting, here’s 34 videos and 5 webinars covering all the basics to getting started online and making your first $1,000 Consistent Sales System - How any marketer can continue to sell any product or service all year round. 25 different methods covered inside. PDF Training - Award winning product. 20K Extra - How Kevin increased his monthly income by $20,000 by simply making a few tweaks in his business. This added an extra $100,000 to his bank account this year alone. Must see for all marketers. Complete step by step video training course with templates and worksheets.
The interviews are pure gold. The people he has interviewed are the quiet achievers in online marketing, rather than the high flying gurus. I have watched two of the interview modules with Adam Payne and Steven Alvey. What struck me was the commonality between viewpoints but also the plain practical advice -Adam Payne says pick one thing, be good at it and outsource stuff you are no good at. Now I know Adam personally - he always says that just like a stuck record. That is gold because that is what works - it is not about secret hacks and special tricks or loopholes. It is plain simple stuff - find what interests a customer and what problems they have and offer solutions. Now Adam tells me that the 16k case study and the 20 k extra case study are both very good - I believe him.

What the interviews do is deal with what is on not shown on the left hand side of the strategic framework before the work begins = MINDSET - get your mindset right to align and focus skills, knowledge and passion . Then push it through to focus and discipline and consistency.

Fixing mindset using the interviews and those 2 cases studies make OTO#1 a no brainer. Would be better if they were PLR. There is a downsell on OTO#1 - interviews only for $27.

The next 3 OTO's reach into Kevin Fahey's training vaults.

OTO#2 - IM VIP Training - $97

(Increases to $197 after launch). This is the upsell that really bridges the gap between what beginners know and what is presented in Project Restart. Every newbie needs some step by step training - this is a great price point for just that.

OTO#3 - IM Checklist Trial - $3 / $17.95 month.

Kevin Fahey has built a whole industry around IM checklists. This upsell is a classic example of how Kevin scales his business model with a recurring revenue product. The best part of the $3 trial is one gets access to all the 2020 checklists that have already been released plus the new ones that come out each month (2 per month). The smart thing to do is look at the list and see how they plug the gaps in what you are already doing. They are PLR checklists too which means you can uses them as bonuses for paid products and they can be sold (but not on JVZoo and WarriorPlus)

OTO#4 - IM Checklists 460 Checklist Package - $197.

The last upsell brings together all 460 checklists. This is a very tempting offer which I have chosen to avoid. I just do not have the time or the bandwidth to work with so much material. I would be waiting on the sidelines until I was ready.

Conclusion: Preject Restart Review

I really like the front end report. Put against my strategic framework I can see how it all hangs together. If there are any gaps, it is in the area of structure/framework - but then I have a 30 plus year as a management consultant working on structure. And one will be looking for traffic lessons somewhere along the line - relationship building is key once you have the prospects. Finding prospects is important - this could be a gap for a comprehensive offer.

The case studies and the interviews are what sold me on the upsell. If each interview saves me an hour of work or cuts out a dead end, it will be worthwhile. As for the other upsells have a look at IM VIP Training if you think you need a bit more of a beginner foundation. Do note the the front end includes the IM Newbie training module. An idea: Buy the front end - skim through that and the IM Newbie training and then you will know if you need more.

The IM Checklist products are good products. I did buy access to the 2020 modules a little while back. If the 2020 modules fit with where your gaps are have a good look. This is the list - 3 have to do with traffic = good news.

V32 Facebook Ads, V31 Local Marketing, V30 Instagram Marketing, V29 E-Commerce, V28 Funnels, V27 Daily Tasks & Planning, V26 Lead Sources, V25 Membership Sites. Volumes 33 and 34 are scheduled on Content Management and Online Traffic for Marketers.

My instinct is to hold off on the 460 checklists upsell until you are ready - for example, jam them into a membership site. That is my plan once I get a few more members into my site.

Bonuses: Project Restart Review

The key to buying a product like Project Restart is to start and to do stuff. I hesitate to add bonuses to product launches like this because they get in the way of doing stuff. Bonus shopping makes sense only if is not at the expense of actually using the product you have bought. That said I have looked for bonuses that will help the most with your own Project Restart.

Email marketing is a cornerstone for any online business. 3 bonuses that take you from the top down through strategy and approach to what you write in your emails and how you get people to open emails and lastly a source for PLR to offer as lead magnets and/or as products to sell in your Project Restart.

Here is a summary – check the bonus link below for more information.

Bonus #1 – List Building Expert (Value $67)
Bonus #2 – Email Marketing Made Easy (Value $27)
Bonus #3 – How to Write Compelling Headlines (Value $27)
Bonus #4 – Silver Pass to SureFireWealth (Value $147) - a PLR membership
