Cancer is a group of diseases associated with malignant cells...
Simply put, Cancer cells are normal cells gone MAD!
They are cells with just a simple instruction from a defective gene.
So, let's imagine a positive feedback mechanism, like a taskmaster shouting at his employees - Produce! Produce!! Produce!!!
Well, your guess is as good as mine... The energy generated in body used up in cell replication, leaving other metabolic processes stranded.

February 4th is the international day for Cancer.
Currently, 8.8 million people die from cancer worldwide every year, out of which, 4 million people die prematurely (aged 30 to 69 years)

World Cancer Day is the ideal opportunity to spread the word and raise the profile of cancer in people’s minds and in the world’s media...

The campaign appeals to government for:

‘Implementation of vaccination programmes, which prevent infections that cause cervical and liver cancer.

• Scale up of access to early detection and screening programmes for cervical, breast and bowel cancers and follow-on treatment.

• Improved tobacco taxation, regulation and control.

• Pain relief and palliative care services for all cancer patients.

• With more than a third of all cancers (up to 4.5 million per year) preventable through lifestyle interventions, UICC has also appealed to individuals to take responsibility for reducing their own cancer risk.
Simple measures such as stopping smoking, eating less red and processed meat, exercising regularly and reducing alcohol use can extend a healthy life, and must be seen as the first-line of defence against cancer and other associated non-communicable diseases.# header
