I’m Giving Up Antisemitism And Anti-Semitism

This is a value for value post: see the explanation in the footer.

Wilhelm Marr as a Nazi by AI

I first declared this in 2012:

I’m Giving Up Antisemitism And Anti-Semitism

From now on the only term I’m using is Jew hatred.

Happy New secular Year everyone! Here is one of my resolutions; I wonder if anyone will join me?

I’m giving up antisemitism and anti-semitism for the New Year. It’s all Jew hatred for me from here on.

And if anyone in my presence says “Judeophobia”, I won’t be responsible for the hospital bill.

Here is a very dry article explaining where the term “antisemitism” came from:

Marr’s conception of antisemitism focused on the supposed racial, as opposed to religious, characteristics of the Jews. His organization, the League of Antisemites, introduced the word “antisemite” into the political lexicon and established the first popular political movement based entirely on anti-Jewish beliefs.

Update: OJ asks in the comments, what is the problem with Judeophobia? Here is my answer:

If you have an irrational fear of a Jew or Jews then you are phobic and yes, Judeophobic. A phobia is introverted and internal. As soon as you act on that irrational fear you are, in my eyes, a “hater”. So, whilst many Jew haters are also Judeophobic, it’s not their Judeophobia that causes me a problem.

This post came to mind because I found myself listening to a Podcast by a comedian from New York (who have met a few times) called Modi. He was talking to a Brooke Goldstein who has been involved in a number of important freedom supporting lawsuits in the USA.

You can find that show here. Right at the start Brooke says pretty much exactly what I say in this post from 2012. I'm not saying this is a new way of thinking, but I"m glad when others come to the same conclusion as me and stop calling Jew hatred by any other name.

I originally wrote this post in 2012 on Israellycool. I'm reposting it here because it is important and I want it written on Hive.

Value for Value

For the last few months while building @v4vapp I was generously supported by the DHF. Going forward I have a much more modest support which covers direct server costs and a little of my time.

If you appreciate the work I do on and around Hive, you can express this directly: upvoting posts on Hive is great. Also consider a direct donation (there's a Tip button on Hive or a Lightning Address) on all my posts.

I saw one post yesterday by @demotruk where he told that he bought gift cards with v4v app. Can u make a separate post about that?

The Bitcoin co : https://links.thebitcoincompany.com/SqFv

And Bitrefill : https://www.bitrefill.com/buy

both sell various gift cards and credit cards for Lightning and you can pay for this with v4v.app and Hive.

Ok thanks.

Bit on "The Shadow" because you talk of phobias and irrational fear usually stems from that maybe?

Basically it's all denial and projection and it's not even you or some demographic people hate. How insane is that. Considering the amount of violence all this philosophy perpetuates.

Here's the thing... punting groups and sub groups creates the whole "us and them" thing. And the subsequent pack mentality that we are so dangerous because of (see Lord of the Flies)

You find one convincing human, who others will follow, and any philosophy becomes dangerous. Anything can be perverted. It's a long conversation. But you'll figure out the gist of it with that brain of yours.

This may help you find it less offensive and even funny (even though it's most definitely not when it's acted upon)

War is probably one of the most profitable businesses on the planet, you know.

And fear is a good motivator. It also makes people easy to manipulate.

p.s. I doubt whether any of the original great books on spirituality included fire and all that scary shit. #justsayin

We will probably never know. They're all stashed neatly far away from our now mostly closed eyes.

Shalom, brother ❤️

Using "Jew hatred" instead of "antisemitism" or "anti-Semitism" due to the historical context and origin of the latter terms make a more clear characterization of one's action in this regard. For me is hard and a wonder to understand how people can turn to hating something or someone instead of trying to understand and accept any difference in thinking. And what's worst is that this is happening without any personal experience, just following others like sheep.

The Jews doesn't look like people who are harmful and while on earth will people be showing hatred on them.

But why would anyone hate the Jews?

This question is very hard to answer.

I guess I have to go find out for myself

If religion is creating hatred among people, how can it be better than secularism?

If religious people want people to follow them, they have to make themselves better than secular people and try to maintain peace and love in the world.

I would like to say here that a person has no right to call someone's religion bad in such a way that a person should be allowed to follow what he is following. If we stop it or tell some other things, then many problems will arise, there are many such problems here in Pakistan, so it is better that people go about their lives. There have been many wars between Shias and Sunnis in Pakistan as well.

Using the word antisemitism is gonna be a great offence
