As promised in our proposal, we will post weekly updates to let you know what's going on regarding Keychain development.
Apple situation
Finally everything is in place, we've got the company set up and the required DUNS number, I've started the migration of my individual Apple developer account to a company account. Let's hope the process goes fast and that I ll be able to publish iOS updates soon.
Mobile App
Several new requests were included this week, for the dApps to interact with Keychain in our in-App browser:
- delegations
- signTx
- power up and power down
- proposal votes
- encrypting messages
Also some fixes were added :
- UI improvements on iOS
- adding user dropdown on some operations
- improving browser search bar and loading bar
Although they are still some requests missing, I think they are more rarely used and can be implemented later on. The beta testing of this version of the App, including this in-App browser will start at the beginning of next week on Android. For iOS it is still unclear if we can start Beta testing before the end of the migration, but I'll try.
Stay tuned if you want to participate and join our Discord.
Download the Apps
- This is a first release and the Application is still in Beta. It has been tested extensively but it should not by any means be the only place you store your keys on.
- To import accounts quickly from your Hive Keychain extension to your mobile App, use the QR Code scanner by pressing the QR code logo:
On your extension, navigate to the menu (top right button), then to Manage Accounts
and finally click on Show QR Code
.
