Whilst hiking today we found a little retreat with a water fountain and a Shishi-odoshi that is used to scare away animals.
We sat next to the fountain listening to the relaxing sounds for an hour or two and I remembered that I had seen one before in Kill Bill! Later on we climbed up to ring the temple bell in Senkō-ji's fantastic Zen temple.
