I have Mothers day Sorted πŸ₯πŸ₯“πŸ₯— Organizing a special day for my mother in law. πŸŽπŸ’

We are all finding lockdown unbearable I know I am, having something to look forward to helps us get through each day. I thought I would do something extra special for hubby's mum my mother in law for Mothers Day in on the 14th March. I don't have a mother to spoil, never had a real mother as the mother that gave birth to me gave up on me as soon as I was born but that's a story that's already been told. I do know that my mother in law has been amazing and treats me like a daughter.

I wanted to sort her Mothers day out early just in case she made other plans. I phoned her to ask of she had already plans, she told me to forget Mothers Day this year as we can't get out. I told her do not arrange anything for Mothers day as I have a surprise I wanted to arrange something for her.

I went for an afternoon tea that is delivered to her door that she can share with the 2 people in her bubble her sister and neighbour.

This one is shared between two, they will provide another for the third person. Instead of dropping these off at her house I have asked them to deliver to my house so I can add her card with a few additions like clotted cream and jam plus a bottle of Prosecco Plus hubby would like to see his mum on Mothers day and I want to be there. We have arranged to take there food down around 4pm on Mothers day, they wont have to spend the day alone they can all have a chat, drink and hopefully give them something to smile about.

I usually buy my mother in law a bag of food treas from her favourite shop Marks & Spencer, they sell more luxurious food that is a lot more expensive, its a treat that she enjoys.

I phoned her to tell her what was happening, she would need to invite her sister and friend and I was paying for all 3 of them, she wanted to give me some money to help, i refused it as I wanted it to be a treat from us so she had something to look forward to and enjoy with her sister and friend. She is 78 and lives alone, having something to look forward to will make his Lockdown a little more bearable, she needs this to keep her going until the end when we can get together again. Sadly I can't give her a cuddle so the cake will do that for me.
