Yesterday, I was reading some interesting comments to a Facebook post and one really caught my attention. A young lady was saying to a guy, "Grow up! Get a life! Become a man!"
As I reflect on those statements, I was wondering what make someone REALLY goes from boy to man.
What does it take to be a MAN these days?
I find myself asking that question repeatedly. If you watch young men and how a lot of them are being brought up these days, you'll find yourself shaking your head as you ask it.
What are the important parts of being a MAN?
Just because you have the equipment doesn't mean that women perceive you as being "MANLY." In fact, "manliness" has gotten a bad rap.
Well. Here's the answer.
A boy becomes a man when he realizes that it's never a lack of resources (time, money, connection etc.) that shape his future but really his resourcefulness.
Resourcefulness is the ability to face a challenge or a difficult situation with no or limited resources.
He's the individual who can create something out of nothing.
Let me give you another secret.
Where does resourcefulness emanate from?
It come from EMOTIONS.
When you have the appropriate emotions like vibrancy, faith, confidence, flexibility, gratitude, determination, passion, love and excitement, resourcefulness becomes AUTOMATIC.
You can develop those emotions by exercising regularly, following your passion and having a positive peer group.
Live with that philosophy and you'll never be seen as a boy again.
