LEAD Act Introduced in US Senate to Make Cryptocurrency Illegal

Been a while since I posted. Thanks for your patience while I research things. However, this popped up in my feed today, and I thought lotsa folks would be interested to know what's cooking on the back burner while sensational riots and pretend plagues draw our attention elsewhere.

Simon Black is a reasonable guy, and often brings things to my attention with his daily blog posts as he did here this attempt to create backdoors in every encryption used today, or in the future. As he points out, this would make your crypto the governments crypto, and soon enough every hacker worth his salt's crypto, because 'Not your keys, not your crypto', and this LEAD act creates a government database of keys to everybody's crypto wallets.

Doesn't that sound safe?

No, it doesn't. N. Korean, Chinese, Russian, Israeli, and every other team of hackers on the planet is salivating at the prospect of having fat, juicy government databases to plunder - to get your money.

Don't reckon we oughta let this fly, unless we wanna become dependents of the USG and UBI without any ability to own personal assets at all going forward. It's becoming clear that fiat is going to be eliminated before long, and we're all going to be forced to migrate to Fedcoin, which governments, banks, and other assorted mouthbreathers will be able to turn off at will, transforming honest Americans into starving, homeless wretches overnight at their sole options.

Take a stand, or they'll stand to take all you own from you.

Sort:

Insane. Exemptions for public sector services, obviously.

Great cartoon @mattclarke! Do you have a link to its source?

smbc-comics.com

Yes, I saw that in the image. And I did go there, before writing my request. But, I could not find this particular image, to give credit to its creator. I would like to do that.

What are your thoughts on it?

Yes, neither could I.
Couldn't agree more; I think the need to be watched-over remains long after many people have rejected ideas like guardian angels.
So they watch TV, which tells them that all of this innocuous information is only reluctantly used occasionally, by a sweet blonde lady, desperately trying to find the worst baddies in the world.
It's programming alright.

Okay @mattclarke. Thanks for letting me know. As you say, at least the image itself gives some credit to its general source. And, at least from my perspective, brilliantly created, given the message it conveys about what is being actively proposed and seriously considered ...

To say that it would require tech companies to grant access to material that they can't even access is a false dichotomy unless you are going to claim that the Israelis are the only people intelligent enough on earth to break encryption codes.

It would be impossible, except that the management 'engines' in all commercial chips access all components prior to being encrypted.

intelmanagementenginebackdoor.jpg

What would be impossible?....them being able to break into the phone?....they did it and it cost the US several million dollars to have it done by the Israeli's. My claim was the company's claim that they can't but obviously if they are helping with investigations they can just like Israel did.

Like what the guy said in what you just posted...they are doing things they aren't suppose to, does that come as a surprise? They probably knew all along how to break into that Iphone but letting the criminal element know that or innocent people who'll be upset they are doing it without a warrant would be up in arms about it.

wow - they just did it..

My understanding is that hardware level access already exists for all commercial hardware right now. This is expensive, and only available to certain parties. As you'd guess, it's a closely held technology.

This is mostly to allow common thugs to gain access to intimate surveillance, fostering broad and deep social disruption as part of the ongoing collapse of society prefacing their imposition of a global tyranny. It will be very useful in targeting armed civilians with red flag laws, to ensure they cannot resist 'vaccination' with genetic altering injections when troops go door to door to turn people into GMOs after martial law is imposed.

Decentralization of cryptography will emerge IMHO. We'll see.

you mean the cpu backdoors?

to the rest: how do you defend yourself and your people?

People need secure communications. Do not use insecure communications for purposes that require security. Until you can manufacture requisite hardware (which is being developed through the Open Source Hardware movement) do not use extant hardware for communications that must be secure. It is necessary to consider metadata as well as content in this regard.

It seems simple and is, but some folks are too addled to do it. It's exactly the same principle as 'Don't talk to cops', and it's just as often observed in the breach.

yea okay - I have no secure hardware but encrypt everything several times..
the only secure hardware I got is offline - paper with btc key ^^

but what about resisting those people trying to modify my dna?

Well, Bill Gates has gone around the world speaking to support ID2020 and mandatory DNA vaccination to strong disagreement from the public, but his massive investments in GAVI, the WHO, and all sorts of public health institutional infrastructure and vaccine industry vectors have given him great influence where it matters in the centralized imperial governance mechanism. That means public opinion is essential to support mandatory vaccination.

I will do all I can to prevent that support from being created.

It's going to be necessary to have the support of your community in resisting that imposition of mandatory vaccination. Failing such broad resistance, all that's left is what you can do personally. There's a line in the sand that I will not cross, and that is allowing myself to be forcibly genetically altered. I will flee whatever jurisdiction supposes it is my owner to the degree it presumes to force me to submit to that.

I will not be human after being modified, at least not provably, so I will end my days unmodified, sovereign and free, either somewhere mandatory vaccination isn't being forced, or actively preventing that forcing. I have lived innawoods before, and if that's the only way to remain human and free I will again. I have defended my life with force before, and if necessary I will again.

I will force them to inject me with hot lead rather than DNA modifying chemicals, if all else fails.

Does the U.S. government intend to own personal cryptocurrencies?
I don't know why cryptocurrency was created. Is cryptocurrency created to accumulate individuals' wealth?

"Does the U.S. government intend to own personal cryptocurrencies?"

Depending on how you define 'own', the answer to your question can be either yes or no. What the USG states it intends is to prevent anyone from communicating without it being able to understand that communication.

"Is cryptocurrency created to accumulate individuals' wealth?"

Again, depending on how you define the terms used, the answer is yes and no. The BTC white paper states the purpose of BTC is to enable individuals to escape the control of corrupt fiat economies. However, many have speculated that government agencies secretly created BTC in order to facilitate transitioning from fiat to DLT technology (blockchain based cryptocurrency) by extant financial power.

Given the current destruction of the economy being implemented by governments around the world, the latter explanation for BTC is more plausible to me. DLT clearly potentiates far greater power by institutions over individuals, and inciting adoption of BTC by people convinced that they are successfully opposing legacy banksters quite predictable when considering how to transition people from fiat to DLTs.
