RE: THE PERFECT PAUSE - Chapter Ten - Stress Busters

in #meditation2 years ago

There are specific times during the school year that are particularly stressful. Specifically the time right as teachers are coming back and setting up their rooms. That month or so in the Fall can really be hectic. Besides chocolate (which really isn't great for my waistline), I have found that reminding myself it is only fleeting really helps. I typically just remind myself that the rush is only temporary. In just a few short weeks things will be back to the steady or slow pace we are used to. That helps me a lot.

It's great that you can plan around those stressful times and knowing that there will be an end to the pressure cooker helps tremendously. How's your week been?

Yeah, I know a lot of people don't have that luxury. A lot of times when you are in the moment it is hard to see or imagine that there can be any kind of light at the end of the tunnel. It has been a rough week honestly, my wife has had a hard start to the school year so that kind of carries over if that makes sense. We get to go camping this weekend, so hopefully we can decompress a bit. I hope your week has been good!

Yeah, when you're immersed in it sometimes it is difficult to remember there will be an end to it. I'm sorry to hear it's been a rough week! I hope getting away helps. Campfires can work magic in that regard. We lost a really good friend this week so we're dealing with that but other than that it's been a good week.

I am really sorry to hear that!
