The Late Version - a Monday Microblogging Post about Life in the City and Racoons

in #microblogmondays4 years ago (edited)

This is the first of what I hope to be some nonsense on a Monday

Taking my queue from @traciyork I'm going to try to do a few #microblogmondays

her latest is here

and the idea is here

I want to add that I'm not doing this as part of any contest. I'm doing it cause I think we should be blogging our thoughts, and not relying on other's to tell us what to blog. You want to blog a few sentences... you go right ahead!

Please understand: I am not proposing that people stop using other social media sites; only that people make a commitment to microblogging one day per week in their own space.

Yes, I said microblogging.

As in creating a post that is between 1 word to 8 sentences long.

Nothing huge. No massive time commitment. Just taking a passing thought, writing it up in a paragraph, and posting it in your own space.

ok, on to the post...

Today's urban animal sightings - 2 racoons! I know they don't have opposable thumbs but this is an animal that is getting smarter cause they have learned to survive amongst us. Or so some suggest..

I recently listened to a design podcast about designing the racoon resistant garbage bin, and so far it's racoons 1 - City of Toronto - 0

Actually, more like racoons - 1000 - Humans - 0

Coolness, @darrenfj! I'm glad you like Mel's Microblog idea - I stumbled across it back in 2014, and it's part of what got my blogging jumpstarted again.

And yes, racoons are smart little buggers, ain't they? 😁😌

I think I'm gonna do it as a Monday thing 😁
