RE: The Rainmaker: Great cast, famous director, "meh" movie.

Grew up with "alma mater" or The Paper Chase With John Houseman ...
In black and white
Law students and an amazing teacher.
I love everything in court.

But ... When I saw this movie, I loved it! LOL;)
Precisely because of the predictable, and the cast.
Even today, I see it when programming includes it, I think every two months. LOL;)

well that's good news. It just wasn't my cuppa tea really. But then again I really enjoy a bunch of movies out there that were box office failures and were panned by critics. SuckerPunch comes to mind off the top of my head.

In my country it was titled "Surreal World"
It was a plot worthy of a psychiatric thriller.
I think not as science fiction as cataloged.
It is a very real unreality in psychology.
