Board Games - Show Us Your California

in #mycalifornialast year (edited)

Hi friends,

This post is an entry into the weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @thesocalhive where we share an aspect of our California.

With the cold weather and rain we have had over the last few weeks, my family has turned to inside play - which also means, board games!

My son has been into playing the game Risk, which is a loooong game. He tries to get us to play almost every day, but we usually try to hold out for the weekends as the game is tough to play on a weeknight.

My daughter has a few games that she likes too, but her favorite is actually a card game - uno!

If you come over to our house in winter, chances are the kids will ask you to play a board game with them!

Thanks for coming by and checking out a piece of my California.

Risk is a great game, I played it with my dad a lot as a kid. Castle Risk is also really good.

Thank you for participating in this weeks Show us Your California contest!

That's one of the things to do at home in winter :) Fortunately, we have had so many warm and sunny days to go out in this winter.

Happy week my friend!

Games are the good way to have some quality time with your family. usually due to busy routine , we can't spend time with our family, But we should do it on the weekend. We use to play LUDO with my family in our free times.

Classic board games are still the better option for kids to play because there will be personal interaction among the players, in your case parents and children bonding. Unlike the online games of today, kids tend to distance themselves from other people.

That's good parenting you're doing :)

Btw, my favorite is Monopoly which is also a looong game depending on your luck or "lack of luck" on the dice :D

You should spend time with your son. The game is great. If you play games with children, then children become very happy. Thanks for sharing.
