CryptoLand Bubble? Wendy’s Shares Hit 10-yr High. Russia's U-turn to like cryprocurrency

in #news7 years ago (edited)

Happy #thankfulThursday you beautiful crypto-bastards.

CryptoLand Bubble?

My nuts-kicking pain over missing the BTC train a few years ago intensified lately looking at ETH. Seeing Ethereum ride the train to the hundred bucks wagon got me double-nut-kicking. I missed yet another train and I shall not let another one go. Which I didn't, i got myself some Litecoin in its last dip below 10$. I am one happy camper now and this action surely puts some band-aids over my previous BTC/ETH wounds.

But, here's the thing.

Now more than ever there are coins and ideas and ICOs and pumps. And it feels unrealistic, and it most probably is. When it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, you know.... it will dump.
End of last week and all this week I had a strange feeling, a feeling that something is going to happen, something is going to maybe burst (pun intended. Too soon?), the markets seem to have gathered some fatigue, especially since my altcoin portfolio USD value also dropped by 15% roughly, while BTC has has broken top after top. Something's up and even though I'm not the guy to give financial advice, I will be taking profits off of alts (whatever they may be), maybe selling 90% of all bags and keep some just in case of serious mooning.

After you sell, don't look back.

Seriously. After you sell a consistent bag, don't check the market for that coin for a week or so. It may be it'll go down and you made the best choice, but it could also go up and you get a bigger hammer to smash the finger that pulled the trigger. Just pretend you don't care for a little while and enjoy enjoying the profits.

What to do with the profits? Maybe get some real gold. That always makes you feel better.

Wendy’s Shares Hit 10-yr High

For those of you living under a bitcoin rock, something's up that refreshes our anything is possible even if you are a nobody life goals.
Wendy's are quite famous for their funny roasting tweets that have been going around the interwebs for a while, and a few months ago a guy name Carter Wilkinson decided to be funny as well:

Obviously you should never underestimate the internet, but in this case, this was seriously funny and a few months later Carter got his nuggs. He didn't reach 18 mil retweets but he now has the most retweeted Tweet of all time, going over Ellen's selfie with a bunch of Hollywood superstars. Link

The result?

Well, whadda ya' know. Wendy's valuation is above market expectation and this is clear to show that Social Media has the power to bring people close to your brand. You just have to be bold enough to let the cool people have their way with it.

Steem(it), destined to make a dent in this world.

Highest rewarded transaction in a crypto blockchain anyone?I challenge you! @xeroc, you goin' down buddy

Russia's U-turn to like cryprocurrency?

If you've ever been to Egypt you'd know they are not fans of Traffic Lights (they may not be the only ones). Their roads a full of U-Turns and in order for you to get to one place sometimes you need to make long detours.

But it didn't take comrade Putin that long

Last year Russian institutions announced that "people trading crypto could be jailed", yet now they are creating a bill to legalize it? Crazy fam! Shoutout to our Golos bretherns! Good timing boyz.

Hodl on, but why?

Aparently they are fighting currency pressure for a few years now, they need to reduce corruption and they also want to incentivize the banking sector so you know, they don't close down (100 banks closed in the past three years) and also, no banks no liquid fiat moving around, which is bad for crypto-muggles I guess.
Read more on this here but the same trend is already picking up steem (get it?) in Japan, India and many other places.

Thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings and enjoy the rest of your day! Steem on. I'll leave you now with:

Today's disappointment:

EOS will not be sharedropping anything to anyone. Dan has been revenged.

Nice post. I also scaled out of most of my altcoin bags recently, so my BTC bag is a lot healthier now than it was this time 2 months ago :)

Picking up shitcoins on the cheap is always a good play, as long as you can identify the coins with potential, and what cheap is, of course.

Patience is rewarded!

I might look at refilling some of my bags, depending on what BTC does over the coming week, but for now, I'm happy sitting on the sidelines in BTC profit, whilst searching for the next undiscovered gem!

Well done on your comeback blog. How long have you been away? I'm almost 8 months out and counting now, and have really missed the place, the posting, commenting and up-voting of excellent content, but I did almost die, so I do have a valid excuse for my absence!

YOGI?!?!?!? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

Gold advice.

How long have you been away?

Well I've been lurking, most of the time I've been away. I was completely away I think a 1-2 months after SteemFest and when moving cities in December. We certainly missed some solid events :). 8 months wow. I don't post a lot, I mostly comment and upvote stuff I like. I leave the way open for newcomers to shine :):) (or old timers to M00n :):) )

I did almost die

WHAAAT? do tell...maybe in a post? :) is all good now?

I'm glad that you're posting again. It was a shame that we didn't actually get to meet in person, at Steemfest - I was so was gutted to have missed it back in November last year, but I was seriously ill, and had been for many months, hence my 8 months absence from Steemit.

I'm only just starting to feel relatively 'normal' again, after having a pretty major operation, 6 months ago now. So yeah, everything in my life was put on hold, apart from, laying up resting & rehabilitating for the best (or more accurately worst) part of a year, but It makes me really happy to see that this place is kicking ass still, and stronger than ever right now. Happy days for Steemit :)

Hopefully I can get around to posting again too, sometime in the not too distant future.

Thanks for sharing the chart fella :)

I'm happy you're better now and hope you fully recover fast! Rise like Steem is rising nowadays :) Steem getting stronger will definitely bring back the old steemian guard

Happy to share knowledge I received from others. Even though, you know, never trust financial advice from anyone :):)
The chart looked rather logical which is why I shared it.

about your BTC/alcoins bag, this may be interesting to know.

This is actually a great post :))

Thanks, but you're surprised? hahahaha
