Other Niche Communities Curation Report #1079

in #nichelast year

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1079th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

My Hardworking And Loving Grandma

Our Grandparents is also serve as our second parent. They teach us in many good ways, discipline us so that we will be a good member in the society. For today's blog, I will share my loving and hardworking Grandma. Yesterday, I decided to take a visit on her place. My Grandma will always happy to see me when I visited here because she is the only one living in here simple and unique house.

Back when she was at her young age, she lived in Barangay Linangkayan Naawan Misamis Oriental and she always keeping herself very busy just like gathering more firewoods, planting Ornamental plants, gardening and other things that she like to do. Until now in her 79 years, she always do that kind of chores. My Grandma blessed with 5 kids, but her elder son died already because of brain tumor. She also blessed with 10 Grandchildren and I am the eldest, she always keep herself busy and for her this is a kind of good exercises.

If we can make it why not buy it instead?

The summer season is starting for us now and at the same time in our province, the presence of strong winds is one of the favorite seasons of our youth. And because it's windy, it's trendy among young people to fly kites, including my naughty children.

A few weeks ago, my eldest insisted his father make a kite several times. And because he is not experienced in making these and his father is too busy with work, so his promise is not really fulfilled every time. So as a mother, I see my son is very jealous of other young children who fly their kites so I thought while I was still in the city processing my papers for work I thought I should look for kites there because I know many vendors sell cheap prices.

Reverse Culture Shock - Back in Berlin

Right on my arrival at the (finally completed) BER airport, my first interaction with a stranger had a huge Welcome to Germany written all over it. My friend came to pick me up, but not wanting to pay for the overpriced parking fee, he asked me to come out to the short-term parking outside the terminal. No problem. I saw a guy wearing a jacket that made him look like he worked there, so I quickly asked him where the short-term parking was. "Why don't you go to the information desk?" he responded. O-kay then! But sure, obviously he was getting paid for moving luggage or whatever, and not for pointing in a direction, or saying "Over there." to random travelers.

Self improvement;[part 2] My kind of February: Leadership training.

I've got a chance to consult them " how are you?" "How's life?", anyways we've just talking ,updates about what's latest . As always about school activities, reporting and things to do. But it's good to be with them again even in a short time. This leadership training gives us lesson and time to showcase what we got and have as a student leader and makes us realize the possible quality that we can develop in near future.

Domingo de almuerzo entre amigas 💞// friends sunday lunch💞

Hello friends, good evening, I hope you are very well and had a nice Sunday, just like me. I saw her, I had a pretty great Sunday with my family at my best friend's house, because for me she is my family, we did many activities, including teaching me to prepare cupcakes because I always say that I am not very good at baking but she is taking the time to teach me little by little, besides I was able to go see little Luciano who is my friend's nephew and I had not seen him since that he was two months old and well, he is already five months old and he is very big and beautiful and super attentive to everything around him.

Some things never cease to amaze us (English/Spanish)

Surprises do not always come hidden in a "Happy Meal", in fact when I was a child there were no McDonald's "Happy Meals", not even the franchise had spread to my country, but still my childhood was full of great and happy surprises. Even when I grew up, on a break from work, I would sneak into McDonald's to buy a "Happy Meal" just for the illusion of the surprise gift inside. I guess we never stop looking for that unexpected happiness in the simplest things, especially in adulthood, when our sense of wonder has been weakened by the abruptness of life.

Get music out of the instrument or water, it doesn't matter

I have one hanging on the wall. I just took it down from there to see how I feel with it in my hands. And nothing. I don't feel anything. Let's give it some time to see if this will work...

She looks at me and doesn't know what to do with me, or she does, just looks at me when I write, when I sleep, when I dust the furniture, even herself, because she's a little dirty, believe me. It's like she has a set of magnets to attract the shits of any room-prowling critter.

Sunday Scenery-Lucy Edition

The other day my mom called me and asked if I would be okay with watching their puppy for them for a couple extra days. Mom and Dad needed to drive to a neighboring state for a family memorial service, and I had already offered to watch my new little sister, Lucy. Since they were already over that way, they thought they might stop by and visit some dear friends for a couple of days if I was amiable to watching the pup for a bit longer.

Agradecida por estos 3 años en Hive. [ESP\ENG]

#Hive is one of those new but familiar terms, this great ecosystem today March 20th is celebrating its 3rd Anniversary, and all of us who inhabit this special space feel that kind of nostalgia to look back and see what these 3 years have meant in our lives.

Lasagna de berenjena! ♥ - Eggplant lasagna ♥

Hello friends of Hive Food! ♥ how are you today? How have these days been? I was gone for a long time (again) but really everything in my life is exactly the same so I don't have much to tell you. I'm still working, it's still hard for me to find time to write and it's still very, very, very hot in Buenos Aires. We are going through an extreme heat wave with temperatures up to 37°. I can't wait for winter to arrive... hahaha I hate this. Anyway! This is a recipe post, and the recipe in question is one that I tried very recently with a friend on our vacation and I liked it so much that I wanted to prepare it at home for my whole family. The recipe in question is eggplant lasagna! Let's get started ♥
