Other Niche Communities Curation Report #226

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 226th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

A rebellious kingfisher at a photo session

The kingfisher is a small bird with a very characteristic color and is quite popular in Poland. Popular does not mean that we see him often, he is very mobile, he rarely sits in one place - but sometimes it happens, even to the extent that it resembles a prepared photo session.

Vineyard Fun

One of the things that I really love about our life right now is all of the awesome exploring that we've been doing! We recently spent some time in a portion of New Hampshire and were looking for something to do while we had a few hours to kill. We decided to look and see if there were any vineyards around and we found some but one seemed to stick out more than others. Thankfully we stuck with the one we did! It ended up being an awesome experience for sure!

The First Yearly Legacy Grapevines Report

Well, I had a grapevines garden patch to tend to, and this is the end result of my efforts. I cut some stuff, I trimmed some other stuff, I cleared a lot of stubborn, tall, thorny, thick, and nasty wild invader plants. I perhaps irrigated the whole lot of vines too little, testing their endurance and spreading water as if it were scarce. Which it might be, especially when I am mostly... not there. As I've already written in another report.

[EN/BG] REFLECTING THE ARRIVAL OF A NEW CHILD / KAK ОТРАЗЯВАМЕ НА ПОЯВАТА НА НОВО ДЕТЕ

It's a true happiness when new life comes into the family not only in my community but in every community. Every country or even ethnicity has its own peculiarity and differences that enrich our culture.

As everywhere in the world, so in Bulgaria we have traditions and customs that accompany the birth of a new life. Some of them are directed to the mother some to the baby itself. I will be happy to share some of them with you.

Several types of unique wildflowers; Purple and white Lindernia, and Urang-aring.

Hi friends, how are you today? I've always wanted to be active on Hive, but I'm too busy with my new job outside. But, never mind, now is the time for us to be serious about Hive Blog. Because I see there is a better future here on this platform.

Today I'm going to show you some of my beautiful macro photography works, for all of you. They are wildflowers that grow in tropical, or humid places.

Las tradiciones y la Berenjena // Traditions and Eggplant [ESP-ENG]

Nature is very wise, I have always thought that it is miraculously restored, some time ago I shared that my eggplant plant had lost all its leaves and was about to dry up and die because a white plague arrived that would not let it advance.

I am particularly attached to my plants and I do not like to say goodbye to them, so I pruned the plant and left it without leaves, washed the trunk with water from Neem leaves and added an organic fertilizer that I could buy from a friend. And I just had to wait. I learned this process of washing the plant with neem leaf from my father, who told me that he uses it as a soap and antiseptic for plants. But this sheet also has other wonderful benefits that I will tell you about in another publication.

Building My Garden Railroad, Part 1

As most of you who follow my garden posts know, I have a small railroad in my garden. This is a 7-1/2 inch gauge railroad. That means that the rails are 7-1/2 inches apart. 7-1/2 inch gauge is one of the more common ride on miniature railroad gauges in the U.S. In Canada and Great Britain, 7-1/4 inch is the more common gauge. I chose 7-1/2 inch gauge because parts such as wheels and axles are available from several suppliers in the U.S.

Our lunch date - My beautiful Sunday at "Trattoria Sardinia" , Kharkiv - Ukraine

The last 2 days were intense and I was really very sick because of the Vaccine pain. I have spent my whole day lying on the bed and barely could eat anything. I mostly ate liquid food and slept throughout the day. I didn't even care about my work and social life and for a while unwillingly I gave my body rest and laziness. Anyway, after observing this situation of mine, my partner decided to give me a nice surprise. He chose the weekend because he was free and also I was feeling better than before. He took me for a nice lunch...

Podemos cambiar / We can change (Esp/Ing)

Each of us has behaviors that we must identify in order to improve, strengthen or correct. Some are so ingrained that it is difficult to abandon or correct them, either due to pain or ignorance.

In my case, one of the most visible struggles I have had is smiling: a serious face and a frown were my constant adornment.

I lived it as something normal, justifying it with expressions like "it's my life", "I'm like this", "I don't have to change to please anyone".
