Getting Into The Flow With: FLOWSCAPE

Okay,.... I am freakin impressed! I just learned of this game/artist tool yesterday, played with it, and OMG I love the crap out of this thing! It just came out in January and had a few updates since. Its name is Flowscape. What is it,... Bob Ross on the computer. You make worlds with it by painting rocks trees, smoke, water, animals, whatever and watch as the whole thing comes to life with music animation, rain, bugs, birds.... endless possibilities! Do you need to know how to paint? Absolutely not! Just a little imagination, some determination and a sense of scale, that's it!

I used some world building software in the past like Vue D'Spirit from E-on software. It now costs a mint and is hard to use. This thing,... 15 bucks on Steam! Does it do everything,... NO! But what it does do blows my mind. You can take pictures of your creations and share, but no video export yet. You can import your own models,.... how? Not sure, mine go in but are not textured or painted. Once In, I don't seem to have control of placement either, but I've only been playing with it for a few hours. Updates are fast and furious as well, so I'm hopeful it gets better. A real help for artists to concept a piece, create background images and the like with hyper real effects. I think this could put a whole new spin on concept drawing.... fast, easy, quick and ready to go. A real find.

These two images I created after just 2 and a half hours of playing with the program. I've used similar software, but still, that's amazing! No render time, no wait, just a great live world. Just have to be quick on the camera trigger to get just the right shot. Like being on vacation,... very Zen feeling. Its a pleasure to use.

So, check it out on Steam, or from the home site: Flowscape

Thanks for looking! I think this will be in my artist's toolbox for quite some time.
