Hello greetings my people of hive today I want to share with you an infrastructure which is located in the region of Sabadell fifteen minutes from Barcelona Spain.
Hola saludos mi gente de hive el día de hoy les quiero compartir una infraestructura la cual se encuentra en la comarca de de Sabadell a quince de minutos de Barcelona España.
This is the water tower which was started in 1916 and completed in 1918.
Se trata de torre del agua la misma fue iniciada en el año 1916 y culminada en el año 1918.
The project was carried out by the engineer Frencesc Izard and designed by the architect Lluís Home under the direction of the architect Josep Renom.
El proyecto realizado por el ingeniero Frencesc Izard proyectada por el arquitecto Lluís Home bajo la dirección del arquitecto Josep Renom.

The tower was built to meet the water needs of the growing population.
It allowed to accumulate the water extracted from the Ripoll river.
It was a complex construction since for that year it was the first construction made of reinforced concrete with 50 meters.
Structurally it consists of eight pillars that support an octagonal tank with a capacity of 293.5 cubic meters. Above the tank is the viewpoint, with an opening on each side and protected by iron balconies.
La torre fue construida para solucionar las necesidades de agua por el crecimiento demográfico.
Permitía acumular el agua extraida del río ripoll.
Fue una construcción compleja ya que para ese año era la primera construcción realizada de concreto armado con 50 metros.
Estructuralmente està constituido por ocho pilares que sustentan un depósito octogonal con una capacidad de 293,5 metros cúbicos. Sobre el depósitos es esta el mirador, con una obertura a cada costado y protegido por balcones de hierro.
The tower ceased to function as such in 1967. It is an outstanding element of the industrial heritage of Catalonia and can be visited through the Municipal Museum of Sabadell.
La torre dejo de funcionar como a tal en 1967. Es un elemento destacado del patrimonio industrial de Catalunya y es visitable a través dels Museo Municipal de Sabadell.
