Hive Open Mic ( #openmic ) is a global community of music lovers, for music fans and musicians. Each week is a new invitation for expression and connection.
A few months ago, @wildfamily were building up momentum to launch our band, Cosmic Butterflies [And A Bear] with our debut concert during the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas, on 3/16/2020. At that time, we released three studio recordings, with six more songs in production, and a couple of wildly imaginative music videos.
And then, when the pandemic hit, we cancelled the concert, and put all of our band's plans on hold. This hiatus created space for the two of us to continue carrying our songs and developing our sound as a duet. And so, this week we decided to share a two-person version of a favorite song: "Good Morning Sun."
It was a comfortable morning, with the birds singing, and the kids playing beautifully. We found a spot by the creekside, under an ash tree, with the sun beam shining through. Naturally, the day presented ideal conditions for a wonderful harmonious vibration.

My heart goes out to those in quarantine, many of whom are ready to receive healing in body, heart, mind, soul, and spirit. I imagine this readiness has the angels buzzing and humming like bees and hummingbirds.
