Xbox Series X: 4K 120Hz monitors are too expensive, so I ended up buying 4K 60Hz for $205 USD

in #palnet2 years ago

As you guys know if you have been following my videos on Xbox series X, it is capable of playing games at 4K resolution with 120 frames per second, which would require a 4K 120Hz monitor. After doing a lot of research, it seems like such a monitor would cost over $1000 USD (approximately $1500 AUD).

Most people probably can't afford to spend that much money on a monitor, so you can rule that out. If you do want to spend that amount of money, you can probably do a bit of research to compare Gigabyte Aorus against LG C1 (more of a TV than a monitor), but they are definitely out of my price range.

I thought really hard about buying an 48" LG C1 for over $2000 AUD but something in my head tells me that it is going to be too big on my desk and I can just sit closer to the monitor if I'm on my own to get the same feel, so it will be a big waste of money.

Therefore I spent 14% of the price and bought a $284 AUD 4K 60HZ monitor. I have a friend who is using a cheap 65 inch TV and he is a beast in COD, so I don't see the need to get a 120HZ TV or monitor. I'll do a review after I get this $205 USD monitor and let you know whether it works well with the Xbox series X.
