Yesterday night we had what I think the most spectacular thunder storm I've ever seen. My mom was visiting and we spend an hour in the balcony watching and listening to the show that nature provided. I of course tried to take some photos too and with 30 second exposures, I managed to capture a few lightnings.
Most of the lightnings were just lighting up the whole sky evenly, instead of those pretty pretty strikes. It was all amazing but obviously the strikes look the best in photos. I'm super happy I managed to capture at least a few.
Shot with the Nikon D750 and Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8.

I tried to catch some lightning during a storm once...Stood outside holding an umbrella up to the sky...Fortunately I wasn't successful.
Everyone knows you need a bottle or a camera to catch a lightning!
I was hoping to absorb the lightning energy in the hope I'd be able to then throw lightning bolts...There's a few who deserve it and I'd like to oblige.
So I'm staring at the bottom photo at the light going on and off in the building haha.
